The appearance of this exceptional beer is matched only by its taste! To make our Framboise, we add raspberry juice to our lambic. That gives it a delicate fruity aroma and a beautiful dark pink colour, just like the dress I wore to our cousin Willy's wedding. (But that's of no interest to you since you undoubtedly don't know Willy). Framboise is served as an aperitif, but I also use it in cooking. And when I don't finish the bottle in my preparations, I finish it in my glass.

Lambics are their own beast. I've never met anyone who was "on the fence" about them. It seems like you either love 'em or hate 'em. Me... I'm on the love side of that fence.
First pour shows an astonishingly dark and deep crimson/pink/rose body with a light and fluffy pink head/lace that simply does NOT fade.
Aromas are a study in contrasts. On the one hand there are all the elements of a classic lambic - the delicate hints of yeast peaking out from beneath the strong, juicy tart fruit. Sadly there is also a slightly crude overly sweet note that has a hint of cough syrup. A lambic should be a study in champagne-like elegance.
Initial taste is lovely, crisp smooth and creamy with that powerful effervescence from the champagne-like carbonation. The yeast and funk are there in the middle of the flavour, though nearly hidden by the combination of the heavy fruits and high acidity. Very fruity - in fact the sweetness of the fruit tends to overwhelm. As one drinks more, in fact, the sweetness becomes rather cloying. I miss the tartness that you find with other lambics, for me this one is a bit too sweet. The finish is clean, leaving little on the tongue afterwards.
A good "girlfriend" beer, or for a single glass with brunch, but not my favorite of the lambics to be honest.

It's been a while since I've had Framboise, but it's one of the most drinkable beers I've ever had the pleasure of trying. Fruity on the nose and on the palate, it's an excellent gateway beer for the uninitiated. Tart and tasty and isn't a terribly fussy drink due to its low ABV and berry-forward flavor. You could easily polish off a whole bottle on your own without a second thought.

I know that I’ve had this beer several times in the past, and I can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed it until now. From a small bottle, it pours a dark red color, looking almost like a red wine, with a foamy, almost pink, head. The aroma is rich with raspberry scents…very fruity, with just a bit of sour twangy scents underneath. It’s sweeter than I remembers, and maybe sweeter than it needs to be, but the fruit really stands out in the flavor. There is a lightly sour note underneath the taste. It is incredibly drinkable. It doesn’t taste at all like a beer, but rather a lightly sour and sweet fruit drink.

Is this lambic one of those classics that you brag about having snagged a bottle? No, but it is tastey, sweet but not excessive and it still has the lambic tartness and mouthfeel. A low ABV guilty pleasure.

I poured from a 750 ml bottle into a pint glass. Bright ruby red liquid with an everfecent head. Lots and lots and lots of raspberry flavor and aroma. Appropriately tart for the style but also quite sweet. Smooth but full moutfeel.
This is my go-to beer to share with friends who say they do not like beer. I have yet to find someone who doesn't like this one.

Fierce, deep, rich red color. Tastes just a bit more wild fermented and funky than the Jolly-Ranchers-apple flavor. This was one of my favorite beers of all-time in my 20s. Revisiting it now, it seems a bit more artificial-chemical and soda-like than I remember. It shares that with Lindemans' other fruity lambics. These beers (peach, pear, apple, raspberry) are really not as lambic-funky-sour as I remember. Tastes great, artfully constructed, worth trying, and I'd always drink one if it was offered, but for me, not worth the huge pricetag to revisit regularly.
