750 mL bottle poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy blood red color with a one-inch pink head. Leaves a pink lacing down the glass
Smell: Straight raspberries. Like a bushel of raspberries. A little bit of acidity, and then more raspberries. Not a whole lot of complexity, but luckily I just so happen to love raspberries.
Taste: Guess what? There's a ton of raspberry. Shocker. The tartness is much more pronounced, which adds another layer of complexity. But once again, raspberry absolutely dominates. There's definitely a lot of sweetness as well, to the point where it actually overpowers the tartness, and the beer finishes very sweet.
Mouthfeel: Suprisingly thick, with a decent amount of acidity.
Overall: For what it is - a sweet, tart explosion of raspberries - it's actually quite good. Just don't go in expecting a more traditional lambic experience.
