This stuff is absolutely fantastic. I don't understand how you could fault it except to say that it is not very heady and that it's hardly anything like beer. Many lambics I've had are tart, to the point of souring your palate. Lendeman's is a lively glass of rasperry juice. This is the essence of raspberry whafts from the bottle when you pop the cork, the smell stays potent and satisfying. Nicely balanced rapsberry sweetness and raspberry sour in a zen like state, revolving around the swirling head, A nice layer of foam sticks to the drink, giving it an appetizing appearance. The aftertase is just a hint of sour, like a good candy. If it had a little more complexity, it might fail to be as solid an example of Framoise, but it would be welcome.
This is a great thirst quencher, hits with delicate sweet flavor, then sour, than sweet and sour aftertaste. A great drink to offer in moderation to inexperienced drinkers. It is a tart drink, and so easy to swallow, it could upset the gut if not kept to moderation.
