This is an amazingly drinkable beverage, a fruit sodie pop. The appearance is a wonderful deep bright red. And it goes down oh so sweetly, and all the while oh so tartly.
While I find it amazingly drinkable, it lacks the "beerness" of beer. It's not a let's hang out with boys sort of beer, but that's OK it has it's place. It's a good night cap beer or a let's sit in a pricy Belgian style bar beer.

Poured into a Stange.
Not always a big fan of cherries, but lambics are a style I desperately need to try more of. So here goes with the most ready brand out there.
A: Pours a transparent ruby-red with a small amount of carbonation rising through the center to a faintly red head that builds up early, takes its time dissipating and leaves a detailed lacing.
S: Tart and sweet, but really all I get out of it is cherry syrup. Not my favorite.
T: This is a beautifully pleasant taste that is tart, malty and reminds me just as much of granny-smith apples as it does cherries. A great taste that I have to downgrade a little bit for the overly-syrupy aftertaste that lingers just a little too strong.
M: The feel of this lambic though is fantastic. Dry and perfectly carbonated, it really accents and compliments the flavors. It's also thin bodied and doesn't add any unnecessary weight to the light beer.
O: This is a very vibrant and refreshing beer. Strong flavors and a great feel carry this beer past its mistakes and make it a solid fruit beer.

A: Pours a ruby red (like zinfandel) with a pink head.
S: Smells of syrupy cherry, slightly tart, but more sweet than tart.
T: Starts out sweet, with cherry, which becomes tart, especially toward the finish, a touch lemony in the finish.
M: Medium-light bodied and smooth.
O: I like the Peche better, but this is decent. Krieks can be very tart, but Im not surprised, having tried the Peche, that this was only slightly tart. That said, tart isn't necessarily what I like in these kinds of ales.
