Very dark purple liquid which gives off the faintest hint of redness when back-lit. HUGE head with great retention and EXCELLENT lacing.
Smell is of dusty tart black currants. Maybe some grape skins.
Taste is of purple sweet tarts. (This is what black currants remind me of, though.) Sweet flavor enveloping true tartness. Dusty flavor, like the nose had. Slight alcohol warmth.
Mouthfeel could be better. Way too thin for my tastes. Almost no feeling of carbonation.
I drink this every now and then, but if I want Lindemans, I usually reach for another flavor.
