Lindemans' Cuvee Rene, Gueuze Lambic.
A: Honeyed-apple cider look to it, with a few tiny little black flecks floating around. Frothy white head. Slight lacing. Sheeting hold quite a while.
S: It's got sort of a dry peach/pear smell, with a mild acidity. Honey. Dry apples. Very slight caramel.
T/MF: Hmm. I was expecting a little sweetness, but this is damn near bone dry. Acidity is much more mellow than the other Lindemans' Lambics, and more front-focused. Pear flavor only apparent as it settles. A very light acidic tingle holds to the tongue; all there is of a finish, pretty much.
I'd take one of the fruited cousins over this any day, but this is not bad.
Poured from a 12 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.
