Pours a bright pale gold with a white fluffy head. Aroma is a mix of wet grass, honey and old shoes. Laces fairly well, not extensive but decent.

Taste is a lambic punch in the jaw: Quite citrusy sour, like lemon juice that's gone off. Pale toasty malt, fruity with the grainy flavor of chewable vitamin C tablets. While most of the flavors are sour, it ends with a slight bit of sweetness.

Mouthfeel is light and wispy, crisp, thin yet satisfying. Not a real complex gueuze, softer, pretty basic, very user-friendly. Not as musty as it should be, not even a lot of sediment in the bottle, but good nonetheless.

served from the corked 750ml bottle. This beer is very carbonated. Pours into the glass and a large head immediately forms. The head is maintained and produces a lot of lacing in the glass. The smell of this beer is very tart and so is the taste. I assume this profile is typical among lambics, but this is my first one so I don't have a comparison. This is a good beer, I am just not quite accustomed to the lambic profile.

A - A radiant orange, with a fluffy white head. Decent retention and lacing.

S - Lots of funk - damp basement, yet lemony and yeasty. Odd to my nose, but interesting.

T - Fairly aggressive sour and tartness, but not overly vinegary. Crisp and fruity with a fair amount of the funk from the nose coming through as I sip it. Just a bit of malt.

M - Fairly crisp and light bodied with medium carbonation. Dry finish.

D - One bottle was enough for me in a sitting, and it lacked something for me. Will try others of the style.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. No readable freshness date.

A- From a hard pour comes only a bunch of spaced out bubbles that snap, crackle and pop their way down to some sparse surface foam. The beer itself is a hazy, golden peach color. Also lacking in the lace department.

S- Crisp and fruity like all the other lambics I've had, with one difference: Funky and astringent overtones that indicate that this is gonna be a sour one.

T- And it is. A rush of tartness upfront, followed by sweet peaches and ends with a pucker that rivals other spontaneously fermented brews I've had. No doubt about it: Tangy, funky and sour.

M- Quite moist considering how tart it is. Medium-low carbonation does much to reinforce the sharp blow it gives to your palate.

O- This one ends up being a bit of a chore for me to drink but that's common with most sour beers I've had. Done well, just not my thing.

clear golden color, light white head, clean light citrus with a moderate tart/funk character. Slight pepper, moderate to high carbonation, dry finish. Great for its price.
