Dubbel brewed with a saison yeast.
A - Nice plum color, minimal white head that has no retention and no lacing.
S/T - Dark fruits of plum and raisin up front, yeasty nose and taste stay hidden until the finish, with a slight funkiness. Sweet dark fruits prevail in taste, with a dry, sweet finish.
M - Medium body, high carbonation, maybe a little high for my liking. Sweetness adds up after about half the glass.
O - Interesting hybrid of styles. I like how the yeasty funk balances the sweet dark fruits, but was hoping for more of a funky yeast character to it.

Draft at Chadds Ford location. A dubbel brewed with the McKenzie farmhouse yeast.
Murky amber brown color with a thin cream head. Adequate retention and lace. Aroma is spicy and funky with rich malt, cocoa, plum and light yeast. Rich malt body, bready and caramel with dark fruit, plums and figs. Finish is spicy, grassy and dry. Chewy, medium thick body with light carbonation. Interesting and enjoyable hybrid of styles.

a: This was a murky, dark chestnut brown. It was served to me with a small wisp of a head.
s: Dark fruit with some cocoa and dry, barnyard grains.
t: Lightly sweet figs and raisins that are lightly boozy give way to slightly drier finish of cocoa and spicy hop bitterness.
m: Big and chewy with lightly fizzy carbonation.
o: A dubbel made with their farmhouse yeast strain. This worked pretty well for me.
