Hey, I used to visit this place a lot about 10-12 years ago. They had a craft tap or two back then and it's one of the places that got me more in to craft. Don't be scared by the Web Site listing Killians, Yeungling and Heineken under microbrews in the keg section.
Anyway, now the have a couple from Old Dominion, some Flying Dog and another craft or two that I can't remember. These taps are separate from the BMC taps.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the BBQ was good. The chili dogs looked great but didn't try one. Sports on little TVs all around. Place was packed on a Tuesday night dinner time.
You can't beat the friendly down-home vibe of this bar, right in the middle of the madness that is Mclean/Tysons.

You come here for the great vibe and atmosphere and because there are so few places like this anymore in northern Virginia or the entire DMV area for that matter, not for the beer or the food. The beer selection is small but still has locally brewed options

Town landmark. Good selection. Should be on one of those food network shows.

This place is probably the closest thing to a dive in NoVA. It's an oldschool little sports bar where the local highschool coaches gather to watch college games over some cheap beer and cheese fries.
All the beers are served in frosted 12 ounce mugs, so there's no real sophistication in understanding glassware. The focus is on getting the stuff to you cheap and cold.
The waitstaff is made up of local goodold types. The waitresses are likely to call you "honey," and if you make a few return visits, it's not hard to get on a first name basis.
There are about 10 beers on tap and 20 in the bottle. You have your typical dive selections like Bud, Sam, and Heiniken, plus some local dominion brews and a seasonal from Sierra Nevada.
The food is definitely cheap. Buns are what you'd find at a grocery store, burgers are made from patties, and fries come in frozen bags. Their chili is excellent, and they're known for their chili cheese dogs.
This being said, you don't pay much for your food, or your beer. It's easy to put back a couple of glasses and have a decent meal for under $20.
If you're looking for a great sports dive to watch the game at, this is the place for you. If you turn up your nose at the working class, avoid this place at all costs. Comfy its, sophisticated it ain't.
