This classic beer style was inspired by centuries of Celtic brewing history. Specialty kilned malts such as dark caramel and munich dominate the Irish Red resulting in a ruby red colour and smooth malty taste.

Clear amber with a modest head that quickly recedes. Fresh caramel malt nose. Satisfying medium malt body with a little dryness on finish.

An OK red ale. Had it at Black Rock Bistro in Parrsboro Nova Scotia. I assume it was on tap. Pours mostly clear reddish amber color with a small white head. Average retention and some lacing. Smell and taste meet all the basics. Sweet caramel malt and enough grassy hops to keep it from being too sweet. Mouthfeel is crisp but a bit light. Some balance, but could be as bit happier. Not bad Red Ale.

Bottle purchased at the brewery in Halifax and consumed the same day.
Pours a surprisingly reddish red-brown with a decent head and lacing.
Sweet aroma resembles a bakery. The flavor is more average but still nicely malty and well above average.
Good, lively carbonation for the medium bodied ale.

Excellent craft beer. If you are a fan of red ales, this is an excellent choice, and if you're in NS it's local.
