Nice looking, almost black with a nice tan head that lasted and left nice lace.
Aroma is where this beer stands out most, and spicy would be the word to describe it. There are so many complex flavors it's hard for me to pick them all out. Citrus rinds, floral, and coriander are notable, as is some good honey character.
Drinks somewhat like a quadrupel, somewhat like an American strong ale. Body is a bit lighter than expected, but ok. Alcohol is high but pretty well hidden.
Overall it's a tasty and very different beer, and another very enjoyable Freetail special. I like their innovation and the fact they are willing to take chances with strange, one-off beers like this one.
