On tap at the brewpub in the outskirts of San Antonio. An IPA witbier cross.

Cloudy golden color with a fine white head that leaves the glass coated with lacing.

Aroma: mildy funky yeast

Flavor: pungent and bitter with some fruity tartness. Plenty of grapefruit rind from the finish onwards.

Feel: near medium body and crisp but soft medium carbonation.

O: too much grapefruit peel for me.

Yellow and perfectly clear, some sheets of lacing but the careful pour may have cut back on the head a bit.

It's kind of like a citra witbier meets IPA. Tasty, and it does have a bit of bite, but it does pretty squarely remind me of their various witbiers.

Despite that, it's still up to the usual high standards of Freetail and is quite delicious.

Appearance: Very clear, pale gold with a solid quarter finger of white head that lasts and laces in clumpy tidemarks.

Smell: A bit of lemon peel, with a catty hop note. Lots of fresh hop bitterness oozing out of the glass.

Taste: Hop driven, but doesn't go so bitter it burns or puckers, just a nice fresh citric/catty hop blend that has a bit of earthy dusty hop to finish. Even lets a flash of sweetness show in the middle as it goes citric hop, sweet, lingering earthy hop. Great profile.

Mouthfeel: Low carbonation almost goes cask, medium body is oily but manages to finish pretty clean.

Overall: Great beer! Full flavor but doesn't rip your face off, looking forward to slowly draining the growler.
