22oz, no date
Doom glass

A: Pours a deep orange leading to amber almost. Chill haze. Thin layer of slightly off white, egg shell, head. Leaving some sticky lacing.

S: Smells like sweet caramel malts. Earthy hops. Some pine notes.

T: Slight earthy hops on tip of tongue. Some slight fruit is there. Maybe a peach note, really light. Sweet malts in mid palate. Dry and clean finish actually. Some sweetness lingers.

M: Medium bodied.

Coppery and mostly clear with a pretty chewy off white head and pretty decent lacing.

Pretty citrusy in the nose,, along with some yeastiness and a nice dose of hops.

Tastes very nice, Belgian yeast up front, nicely hopped in IPA fashion, but not overpowering in any one aspect. The ample malt backbone ties it all together.

Body is medium and yeasty on the finish. Carbonation is appropriate for the style and rounds out the beer.

It's a nice Belgian IPA. Freetail makes lots of great beer, so I'm not surprised that this one is pretty tasty too.

Not an overly hoppy Belgian ipa. I would hope for a bit more in that department. Comes across as fairly typical, and made well enough. Nothing striking or severely interesting about it. Fairly smooth feel on things. Easy enough to drink. Not inspiring enough to want to do it again.
