Big thanks to SliverX for sharing this bottle...

A: This beer pours a translucent light red/pink with very little head. What foam does exist is relegated to the edges of the glass, and they fade quickly.

S: The nose is big raspberry, citrus, and familiar sour funk. This beer smells great.

T: The flavors in this beer are, as one would imagine, big raspberry. This beer is completely as advertised. A sour than has had a ton of delicious raspberries added to it. So good.

M: Medium bodied beer. This beer starts out with a blast of fresh raspberry and then the sour comes on to rip out your taste-buds. It finishes really dry.

O: I really enjoyed this wild ale. Loved the raspberry notes, loved the sour, and loved the funk. I will be "in search of" this beer, always.

Thanks, xpimptastikx!

Gorgeous crushed raspberry in color--not quite clear. The color is dense and beautiful. Very little visible carbonation. Leaves the glass fairly clean on the way down. Very pretty color.

Vibrant, expressive raspberry aroma. Very little, hardly any as a matter of fact, funk or grain note. This is pretty much straight fruit, along with a (barely) distracting sharp cheese/vomit note, upon warming.

Sharp, fresh raspberry in flavor too, very similar to the aroma. There's a moderate level of sour presence, but it's more tame than some framboise. Some oak. A hint of a cheese character, but it's mild (seems to disappear as the beer warms, strangely) . Incredibly drinkable. Gulpable even.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. More than the pour would have indicated.

A wonderful American framboise, though I think something like Framboise de Amarosa from Lost Abbey is just slightly better (and easily more complex).

Big thanks to Jeff for this one. 22oz. bottle into a Cantillon tulip. Shared with schen9303.

Pours a very thin .25 finger coarse white head that collapses quickly. No lace and near no legs. What saves the appearance is the stunning clear, dark red color. Just above average.

Nose is tart raspberry and strawberry. Seedy sweet and tartness. Mellow Brett funkiness in the back with a nice, jammy fruit presence upfront. Nicely aromatic. Very straightforward and appetizing.

Opens raspberry sweet and tartness. Raspberry seed in the middle with Brett funk, hay, and some woodiness in the middle. Fruit presence is huge... like I'm eating Raspberry puree. Sour fades out a bit in the end, showcasing a nice, sweet juiciness from the fruit. Seedy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Very good. Definitely one of the better fruited Wild's I've had.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively in the mouth and goes down aggressive, bubbly and bright. Finish is puckering with a lingering, lip-smacking aftertaste. Real nice.

Just like the non-fruited version, Raspberry Ananke is incredible. Great, lively feel with an aggressive, aromatic and enticing nose. Flavor is spot on too. Seek this out!

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter. 2012 bottle.

Appearance - Pale pink body. Small white head. A few wisps.

Smell - Raspberry is strong. Jammy. Some white wine. Not a ton of acidity.

Taste - Musty raspberry. Slightly sweet. A little bit of white wine but it is lost among the raspberry.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Raspberry makes it heavy.

Overall - Raspberry is tasty but it takes away from all the nuances of the base beer.

Thanks to Dan for sharing this one with us! Quick review from written notes.

Reddish amber color in the glass with minimal foam and lacing. Less hazy than Ananke, but it could have just been the pour (beginning of the bottle, versus the end).

Tart raspberry aroma with an earthy edge, whole fruit, seeds/leaves/stems and all.

Taste is crisp and clean, bold fruity raspberry flavor with a nice minerality there also that gives it some depth beyond the fruit. Moderately tart and slightly puckering. A super drinkable fruited Wild Ale. Thanks again Dan for sharing! Recommended.

Bottle: Poured a clear pink reddish color ale with a large foamy head with some average retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh wild raspberry with some tart notes and light acidic edge is really nice. Taste is a super nice mix between some fresh raspberry with limited amount of sweetness but just enough to cut through some of the acidic notes with some tart and light oak notes also well discernable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Really well brewed with perfect addition of raspberry and some vinous notes well balanced.

Appearance: murky light blood red, soft pink, yellowish head, minimal with large soapy bubbles.

Aroma: raspberry, Fuji apple skins, musk, vinius, oak tannins, tart grape.

Taste: astute sourness, light raspberry, fruity, musk, funk, apple skins, mild red wine.

***Light, refreshing, puckering, but balanced. A great sour. Thanks Joshua!

Pours bright ruby red with a small white head fading pretty quickly.

Lots of raspberry on the nose. A bit of funk and sour, but nothing like the base as the raspberry is front and center.

Taste is a bit of a disappointment. I absolutely love the Ananke base, but the raspberry doesn't seem to add much and in fact clashes with the base. Raspberry flavor is strong if a bit sweet which negates some of the good oaky sourness of Ananke. Also I don't pick up as many wine barrel notes in this. Certainly not bad, but a disappointment compared to regular Ananke.

Medium bodied with ample carbonation. A bit puckering although not overly sour.

Overall a solid beer although I much prefer regular Ananke. I feel the raspberry clashed with the base and knocked it down a few pegs.

22oz bottle from the 2012 release, into a tulip. Thanks Canadianghetto!

A: Pours a slightly murky brownish red with a small light tan head.

S: Strong raspberry and mild lactic acid in the nose. Raspberry is bright and jammy, but with a slight vegetal edge. Sweet lactic notes and light bready notes underneath.

T: Tart raspberry, drying oak tannins, clean wheat malt, moderate lactic acidity.

M: Between light and medium-bodied with very little carbonation.

O: There are two flaws that jump out here. There seems to be a lack of complexity in the bugs department (I can only taste lactic acid) and the beer is a bit undercarbonated. It definitely tastes good, but could use some fixing up.
