New Orleans Lager & Ale Brewing Company (NOLA) - Irish Channel Stout, poured into a Craftgeer snifter.
Look - Pours a thin viscosity motor oil brown black with a small head that doesn't retain much at all. Tiny amounts of lacing.
Smell - Backer's chocolate is the most prominent, some "green bean" roasted malts (I dunno, that's what I smell every time in this malt variety) and a dash of espresso and hops.
Taste - Creamy and zippy carbonated chocolate with a nice roast followed by espresso notes and finishing a dash of hops.
Mouthfeel - Light-heavy body with high carbonation. Real nice feel here it's got great balance. Mouthfeel and drinkability is phenomenal, a real quaffable beer.
Overall - What a surprise, such a flavorful non-imperial stout! Typically I've been more into imperials but this one rekindled the glame for the good old American Stout!

A-dark brown with a large light brown head that leaves a huge head and a lace that clings to the glass
S-strong caramel malt with a slight roasted aroma
T-strong roast taste with the caramel malt coming in, but then you get a hop bitterness in the aftertaste that fades to a balance of hops, malt , and roasted taste
M-full body, sticky, and low carbonation
O-wow that was great. It has sweetness, it has hops, and it has roasting. Love It!!
