Poured from a 16 oz can into a footed tulip.

A: Dark golden hue. Pours a half finger, bubbly, white head. Settles quickly. Fair spiderweb lacing.

S: Pine resin and grapefruit with a little tropical fruit... mango maybe.

T: Piney and bitter with a bit of a woody tone. Grapefruit citrus.

M: Crisp, bitter throughout, with a dry finish. High alcohol is a little deceiving.

D: Character will dictate a sipping experience.

Atmosphere is pretty good. Decent head and some fair lacing. Nose pine and grapefruit. Woody character, bitter pine, and grapefruit citrus. Overall, this is a good quaff.

A - nice looking beer

S - piney, hoppy dominant

T - really nice combo of hops. Liked caramel-like taste under all the hoppiness. Really get that Columbus hops taste in there

M - medium feel, med carb

O - sorry, not enough time for thorough review (i will revisit and re-review when time permits) but Nola did it right on this one. Not my fave style, but this is nice

Had this one at the source while visiting New Orleans for Cantillon Zwanze Day! Served from tap into a NOLA shaker. Poured red-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, earth, citrus hop, earth hop, and spice. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, spice, spicy hop, and earth. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. The citrus note going on here was really nice and inviting. On top of this I really enjoyed the spicy notes going on when mixed with the citrus as it added a nice touch of balance while still being interesting. A pretty well done brew that I would love to have again in my own area.

On tap at home. Tapped 9/22, kegged 9/14.

Nice translucent dark amber colour. Three finger cream coloured head. Left lots of lace.

The aroma is floral, citrus hop notes with pine and sweet malts and a hint of alcohol.

Big bitterness, Caramel, citrus hops, pine resins and a hint of heat.

Nice full body, rich and creamy, clean and smooth.

Overall a wonder IIPA
