Received this as an extra in a trade. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a crystal clear golden hue with a nice one finger off white head that leaves some sticky lacing and a thin blanket.

S - Ah, the aroma of not fresh DIPA! Heh, spoiled by the fresh DIPAs, this smells like, when fresh, it was excellent. Now though, now it is mostly sweet malts. Flashes of the hops that once were, centennial and citra mostly, Sweet grapefruit, bready crackers.

T - Ah, darn. Super, super sweet malts and very generic bitter finish. Light grapefruit. Again, flashes of what it deliciousness once was. The flashes of what it once were though come through though, which is why I have to give it a 3 and not a 2.5 or so.

M - Mouthfeel is on par for the style. Alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall, this beer at one point was probably quite delicious. Now though, its a malt bomb. Unfortunate.

Worst DIPA ive ever had!!!!!!! Thats why Indiana's 100th ranked beer is as high as Louisiana #1. With that said everything from Great Raft Brewing in Shreveport destroys this beer!

Taste is citrus and floral hops with toffee, cake batter, and a touch of pine at the end. The bitterness is light compared to others in this style. However, the mouthfeel does become more bitter and dry as the beer warms. Overall I really enjoyed this one. Maybe not the hoppiest of double IPAs, but the flavor is interesting.

A - nice looking beer

S - piney, hoppy dominant

T - really nice combo of hops. Liked caramel-like taste under all the hoppiness. Really get that Columbus hops taste in there

M - medium feel, med carb

O - sorry, not enough time for thorough review (i will revisit and re-review when time permits) but Nola did it right on this one. Not my fave style, but this is nice

Had this one at the source while visiting New Orleans for Cantillon Zwanze Day! Served from tap into a NOLA shaker. Poured red-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, earth, citrus hop, earth hop, and spice. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, spice, spicy hop, and earth. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. The citrus note going on here was really nice and inviting. On top of this I really enjoyed the spicy notes going on when mixed with the citrus as it added a nice touch of balance while still being interesting. A pretty well done brew that I would love to have again in my own area.
