Had it fresh in the brewery.
Amber color with a thick off-white head with great retention.
Nice aroma with very present predominant notes of pine and some grapefruit.
Balanced hop flavor with predominant citrus notes of grapefruit and pine. Also, lots of spices, toasted and caramel malts, tangerines and mango.
Dry aftertaste with a long lasting bitterness.
Medium to full body with mild carbonation. Alcohol of 8.8% abv is superbly well hidden.
What a great double IPA, not overly sweet as most unfortunately are, and very hop forward without sharp edges. Also, assertive and not tiresome. Best matrix point for a hophead: away from sweet overweighed bodies that hides the holly plant.

Served on draft in a shaker pint glass.

Dark amber in color, off white head. Hoppy aroma - mix of pine and citrus, a little conflicted. Enough caramel malt to balance out the bitterness in the taste. Hoppy aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation.

Overall I prefered their smaller IPA
