Murky deep reddish brown that contrasts starkly with the bright cherry aroma. Nice funky yeast and moderate tartness. Welcome, mild carbonation. Cherry is one of my favourite additions to a wild ale, and this is a fine example of a cherry wild. The oak is barely noticeable. 2014 edition

Looks like thick fruit juice, but don't let appearances deceive you. Very complex with great funky yeast flavours. Just tart enough to balance the strong cherry flavours without being mouth puckering. I normally dislike fruity beers, but this is fabulous.

Pour is a murky brownish red blood color with a thin fizzy dark pink head that is gone immediately. Nose is very fleshy cherry, cherry pit, a fair bit of dark malt (doesn't mix too well) light oak and vanilla, a touch cough syrup. Taste is similar, very fleshy dark cherry, pitty, light oak, malt plays a little better, hint of rubbery phenol in back. Very syrupy feel, soft carb, full bodied.

Pink-tan froth over magenta body, creamy froth sticks around. 4
Mulled wine spice to the nose with lemony funk hits. 4
Big nutmeg and spiced cherry tart note, a hint of barnyard, a thread of vanilla, and some grass to end. 4.5
Humming clovey finish and tart refreshing linger.
Med-lt, fizzy, round, creamy. 4
Stunning spice cake thing. Not sure where the nutmeg is coming from, but it works a treat. Not too funky or sour. Hide the 8%. Almondy hint, too; just great integration of spice.
-- Best of Driftwood and a lot of fun. 4.25

Poured from a bomber into a MoB teku glass
2014 Vintage, just a few months of age on this.
Thanks to kcherney for the bottle!
Pours a cloudy mahogany, reddish-brown color with a fizzy yet somewhat persistent russet head with some ephemeral lacing. Beautiful, full nose with loads of tart cherries, ‘wild’ sourness, and abit of sweet toasted malt. On the palate, it starts off sweet with toasted malt and cherries but sours quickly drying out with some acidity, and a touch of funkiness. The finish is long and dry with sour cherries and a touch of over-ripe plumminess. Medium body and lots of carbonation keeping it light and drinkable. The nose is wonderful and the finish is delicious.
