Seems a little strange to make a light blonde ale when you have a pils and a helles on the menu. Still this was a nice low ABV beer that looks to the golden session ale style that has taken England by storm in the last 5 years ( I know the style has been around longer). It is very light in the flavour profile ( I prefer Brooklyn's summer ale to this)and I noticed that it gets lost when you have it with any food with stronger flavours. Nice take on a seldom used style but maybe not needed with such a lagercentric brewery.

This is Chuckanut's newest beer and they call it "a summer session ale". Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a clean, clear bright gold color with about an inch of white head that had good retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma is a very nice blend of earthy grains and and solid but gentle and even hops. The flavors followed along in a similar fashion, solid grains, evenly balanced hops and a nice little hop tang on the finish.
The body was full, while being light and crisp, and was nicely smooth. Drinkability was very good, you could easily drink this brew all day. Overall, a very nice take on an English style. A must try when you see it.
NOTE: I did this review with the brewers standing next to me and they pointed out that "American Blonde Ale" isn't really the style of this beer. It's a Session Ale (according to Brewers Association guidelines) with German hops. Either way, it's very tasty.
