I may have missed out on the work reward trip to New York by being a hard worker but crap at sucking up to management but cheers Pix for bringing this back so I got a little taste of the big apple
Pours a jet black body with good thick tan head
Creamy oatmeal starts the aroma that then brings the chocolate & then the vanilla
Creme brûlée flavour

Fall 2015 beer.
Poured a dark brown with a nice khaki head. Nice carboantion. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, roasted notes on the nose. Taste follows with the roasted malts and chocolate, bakers cocoa, firm bitterness, nice mouthfeel that's just right for a Porter. Very nice beer. The vanilla is subtle but in there all the same.

Nice looking porter, classic finger of tan head and black, med. thick look to it.
Neutral sweet, caramel, and vanilla are the strong aromas, underlaid with chocolate, very light roast, and merest hints of coffee.
Just like the aroma, the flavors equally dominated by caramel and vanilla, but chocolate is a strong player here also. Yeasty notes make their appearance as it warms, not in a good way, and it also gets some ashiness going on.
Over carbed, too light body, mediocre finish, and a flavor profile that should be cleaner.
Got this on the discount rack. No regrets for 4.99, but not a great beer, not recommended.

Nice roasty\chocolate malt notes. Black pour with a mocha colored foam. Finish is spot on for a porter. Easily my favorite from this brewery and worth trying again.
