A medium-bodied bock beer, this brew uses biscuit and crystal malts as well as noble European hops. The resulting deep amber beer is dry and flavorful, perfect for a cold Lake Placid winter.

Cloudy brown color; thick, smooth head that leaves plentiful ring lace with a solid blanket of minute bubbles in between.

Nearly no smell from a full bar pour. I detect a light melted brown sugar aroma.

Mildly sweet, too little for the style. The body is also a touch thin. Plenty of maltiness (reminds me of hazelnuts). Quite smooth. Overall, this beer falls just between bock, porter and a brown ale.

A: The beer is clear but very dark amber in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high light beige head that died down rather quickly, but consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of toasted malts in the nose along with hints of caramel and floral hops.
T: The taste has flavors of toasted malts along with notes of biscuits and hints of caramel, malty sweetness and spices.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite drinkable for the style and isn’t too heavy, especially when compared to other bocks.

A-pours a dark amber with a fluffy off white head, good retention
S-fairly low aroma, slight malt sweetness and a hint of spice
T-A slightly dry biscuit malt flavor up front followed by hop bitterness and finishes slightly sweet
M-medium bodied
O-not a bad beer, not a lot to it but very drinkable

a - poured a one finger creamy tan head into an english pub glass that left decent sheeting throughout. the body was a bright reddish-brown color.
s - floral hops with bready and caramel behind it.
t - sweet from the caramel, bready biscuit malts with something like a belgian twist going on here. hops are crisp and spicy.
m - slick, slightly thin.
o - good beer, pretty complex for a bock.

A - A nice clear deep brown with amber tint and a half inch of opaque colored head that has moderate lace.

S - Smell is a nice bit of hops, caramel, and biscuit malts. Crystal malts also deliver a touch of grainy smell.

T - Taste is a bit muddled but it does have a nice bock lager taste. Slight hops and malts with really no level of sweetness. Straight up tastes "English" That's what it is dry and molasses eh...

M - Medium bodied and fairly hoppy.

Overall it pretty much delivers a nice hoppy profile and English malt flavors but in my opinion it could use some spice to even out the flavors.
