A - Pours a hazy reddish-brown with a two finger foamy light brown head. Good retention and lacing on the head.
S - Not very aromatic. Chocolate, caramel, and some roasted malts.
T - Very rich maltiness with plenty of caramel (moreso than chocolate). Has a nice earthy hop finish. There are hints of dark fruit here, perhaps cherry.
M - Very smooth and medium bodied with just the right amount of carbonation.
D - Goes down very easily for a 7% brew. Very drinkable, be careful!
Overall this is a very interesting and strong brew and I will be drinking plenty of it as I have just moved up to Saranac Lake (8 miles west of Lake Placid). Cheers!
