A rich burnt orange amber color with a slight head and moderate carbonation.
Aroma has a slight hint of citrus and floral hints. Malts seems to get in line behind an English style. A heavy malt presence.
Taste is citrusy hops and sweet bready malts .
Taste is smooth and has a bitter finish.
A good beer easy drinking .

a great English style pale ale. pouring a lighter copper color and having about an inch of just off white head. the nose is distinctly English in character, dusty caramel, light oats, and a relatively generic ale yeast. in terms of flavor, I get a lot more hops. clean and bright, but not obscuring the dominant malt sweetness. a little sugary on the finish, but a relaxed carbonation, clean feel, and medium body, make this an easy enough drinking Adirondack summer beer. the hop bouquet is reminiscent of fresh ganja, an excellent hypothetical post hike libation. this has been a long time go to of the emerging craft brew scene in the north country, and it is a beer I will continue to enjoy for the foreseeable future. special thanks to my homie greg for hooking up a fresh growler from the pub, you are a legend brother!

Lake Placid Brewery in Lake Placid, N.Y., on June 28, 2012. Draft into pint glass. Two fingers of head when I got it. Caramel copper color. Soft frothy lacing with good retention.
Smelled lemon citrus, grain, biscuit and caramel.
Tasted English style pale ale malts. Bread, biscuit, light citrus, iced tea, rye.
Medium-to-light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
Nothing too special, nothing too bad. A good beer to start my trip in Lake Placid.

This poured out as a nice looking copper color with a decent foamy white head on it. The smell of this beer to me was a little on the gross side. I don't know if it was starting to skunk or what but it wasn't a good aroma at all. The taste had a good caramel sweetness that was balanced with the hippy bitterness. The mouthfeel was decent, good carbonation to it and drinkable medium bodied brew. Overall this would have been much better if I didn't hold my breath on every sip I took. Who knows...
