Notes/Commercial Description:
This is our version of a milk stout, originally named Fresh Powder Milk Stout. A milk stout is simply a stout brewed with an addition of Lactose, a non-fermentable milk sugar, used to create sweetness and a fuller body and mouthfeel in the beer. This is the sweetest stout that we brew, not only because of the addition of lactose, but because of the low hop bitterness, and higher residual sugar content. It is very full bodied beer, often perceived as thick and creamy.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

Pours extremely black with virtually no foam. Nothing remains on top. Light chocoloately smell, some coffee notes. Milky smooth taste, very even, with an oaty background. Lactose finish. Good, not a huge fan of milk stoits that are too sweet, but this one balanced nicely.

A-pours black with a tan colored head with decent retention
S-roasted coffee, caramel, chocolate
T-roasted coffee and chocolate with sweetness coming in the finish. Low hop bitterness and soft chocolate flavor lingers on the palate
M-medium-full bodied with high carbonation
O-Carbonation does seem a touch high, but overall a nice drinking milking stout with great roasted characteristic

Poored from 12 oz bottle. Very dark, almost black, pour. Head maintained throughout the duration and had a nice foaminess that presented the smell and flavor well. Very chocolatey and coffee flavor that was not overpowering as many other milk stouts. No bitter aftertaste that lingers well after the drink which is very pleasant. Recommend highly if you like sweet stouts, but it is not one I would sit and drink a lot of in one sitting, but a very pleasant desert style beer.

Pours a huge 3 finger mocha head. Black body, some lacing and retention.
Smells sweet, fruity English like yeast, some coffee and light roast.
Medium thin body. Quite drinkable once the carbonation dies down.
Tasty good priced solid new offering.
$2 a single

Pours the darkest of browns with a mice tan head. Good retention, and a nice lace. Aroma is of chocolate, and coffee. Body is on the lighter side of medium and carbonated. Taste is roasted coffee up front with hints of chocolate. Very sugary. Decent, but nothing special.

Pours a deep black with about an inch of tan head.

Smells of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts.

Tastes fairly similar. Roasty with hints of coffee and chocolate. Nothing is too overpowering and everything blends well together. Also its not too sweet which you can find sometimes with milk stouts. It is a tad bit over carbonated..The bite of the carbonation takes away some of the taste and cuts into the smoothness.

Overall an easy drinking Milk stout. Nothing too crazy and definitely worth revisiting.

I would like to note that this is my first review on this site, long time reader first time reviewer.

A- Black with hints of red, The head was thin with light lacing.

S- Chocolate, coffee, and sugars

T- It starts off with the normal stout taste roasty, with coffee and chocolate notes, but very light for a stout and possibly a little too much carbonation, then comes the oats and light creamy water down taste to finish it off.

M- light medium body,very carbonated

O- Average cream/milk stout I have definitly have had better. It is on the very light side of stouts. Not to my liking, but worth a try.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.

A: Pours a dark brown with a 1 finger light khaki head. Head is a thin film after a minute or two, doesnt leave much lacing.

S: Sweet lactose and chocolate malts really highlight the aroma. There is some dark fruitiness in the background as well.

T: Has a roasty chocolate malt combined with the sweetness of the lactose. Hops are suppressed. Some coffee notes too.

M: Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Pretty dry and refreshing, very drinkable.

Overall I'm impressed with this new bottle from Lake Placid. Great for the winter time.
