tap

Pours opaque black with a light tan lacing for a head.

Smells of bittersweet raspberry and a hint of cocoa.

Flavor is of tart raspberry, edging on medicinal bitter, with some cocoa and licorice.

Medium body with a low carbonation.

A so-so stout which continues PS's trend of having a kind of off-putting bitterness with their fruit beers. Outside of that, though, the aroma is nice and it's a pretty beer. Of the three fruit beers of theirs I tried, this is the most tolerable.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass.

A - Darb black with some espresso coloured head.

S - Stong aroma of raspberry jam and not much else. Some slight roasted malts characteristics in the background.

T - Sweet raspberry jam but not too sweet. Not much else on the palate but still enjoyable.

M - Medium body, lightly carbonated.

D - A very unique beer with a nice flavour. Would be nice if there were more stout characteristics and the raspberry was slightly toned down though.

On tap at Pearl Street Grill and Brewery in Buffalo, NY. This appears to the base recipe for Street Brawler, with the addition of raspberries.

Pours a dark black, with a half inch mocha colored head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells like sugar, raspberry juice, and the slightest bit of roasted malt.

This honestly tastes like a weird shandy-hybrid thing- kind of like somebody dumped sugary raspberry juice into Street Brawler. It tastes diluted, and un-stout like at this point. Very sweet, and very sugary. A slight bit of cocoa, and a very small amount of roasty bitterness.

Slightly watery mouthfeel and thin body. A bit creamy. Medium carbonation.

Overall, a bit of a disappointment.
