I've only been here once and it was kind off winding down crowd wise but it looked like its one of those fun places especially during the perfect Buffalo summers. I only tried one of the beers but it looked like they had a pretty nice selection but nothing to write home about. I think this place would be great to go with a bunch of your buddies...oh and like the post below i did notice a good proportion of good looking women to men and it was weird because there wasnt as much people as a Sabres.

Local Brewery that is a great place for pre or post game for Sabres, Bandits or any event at the Arena or outdoor concert venue downtown. There are two levels, and an outdoor patio (late spring, summer and Fall) that are open to the public. There are also 2 other areas for rentals for parties, wedding receptions, etc. The Service at the bar varies between the bartenders on at the time, but they have a wide selection of different styles at all times (including blue and blue light for friends who don't take risks). The servers are fairly attentive and every meal that I have had has been good, Chicken Wings are excellent. The price for the beers is great $4.60 each last night. The price of food is a little bit higher that other places, but not overpriced for a brewery.
The beers are decent, nothing out of this world, but there is something for everyone which makes this a great meeting place pre or post event!

Passing through Buffalo, stopped here for dinner and some brews, really enjoyed the place. Service was fast and friendly, food tasted good, prices were reasonable. Their house beers were overall pretty good and I hope to go back the next time I am passing through.

Stopped in before a Sabres game. This is the place to go, only a block away from the rink. The main level was full, but they told us we could seat ourselves in the heated outdoor patio. I was a little concerned when they told us this, but they have a full bar and lots of room. We didn't feel the cold, but that could have been the beers that helped. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and order our food, but its a good system because the food was quick considering how busy the place was. The beer selection was overwhelming, which isn't a bad thing in my books. There were 10-12 taps and lots of selection from light to dark beer. I tried a double IPA and a raspberry stout. Both were very tasty. Food was average pub food, but well done. We had wings, fries and other finger foods.

It's a good stop for a good cold beer and a good burger. It is a really nice, comfortable atmosphere - laid back... Pretty decent selection of beers, locals, crafts and all. They seem to always have some Great Lakes on tap - good for me. I'd recommend this stop. we have enjoyed it the few times we've been there.

Food and Atmosphere are the reasons to come here. It has a very laid-back brewpub feel making it very easy to relax and enjoy a few beers. Gone here a few times for lunch and was always satisfied with the food especially the wings and their specialty pizzas.

I stopped by here for lunch on a recent business trip to Buffalo. The atmosphere was very good, but I was fairly disappointed after that. I had the filet mignon sandwich which was chewy and over cooked, but I got the gouda soup instead of the fries and it was excellent. I tried the sampler of 10 - 2 ouce beers and they were OK at best. I wanted to like the Saber's Edge DIPA, but it was below average. The best beer I tried was probably the Don Cherry and I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. I asked about the growler prices out of curiosity and seemed to confuse the bartender. Once she recovered and found the prices they were very high. They had a big display with several items to buy and since I usually purchase a pint glass when I visit a new brew pub on the way out I asked the hostess about getting a pint glass and she seem very confused about the process and didn't know what I should do. I ended up leaving without a pint glass or a satifying beer.

Pearl Street Grill and Brewery is located in a beautiful building in downtown Buffalo. The atmosphere is excellent and is by far the biggest selling point of this place.

The beers are average at best. I'm not sure I had one of their beers that I thought was "good." Street Brawler stout was fine, but nothing special. The selection is varied, so there are a lot of options to find a good beer. I just wasn't able to.

The service was pretty good, which is impressive because they're generally very busy. The food is good, typical brewpub fare, but a bit pricey.

Overall, an OK option if you're friends/family want to get food and a beer, but by no means worth making a special trip to go here.

The repurposed building this brewpub is in is the coolest part of the experience here. An old manufacturing building, they kept some of the old equipment to make an interesting ceiling fan system. The original hard wood floors and brick walls give a historic and tough look that is decidedly Buffalo. There are many floors to explore or have parties or different functions in: there is a basement bar, banquet facilities, several levels of patio space. The food is what you would expect for a brewpub, especially one in Buffalo: wings, roast beef, burgers, sandwiches, fish fry. The beer is well made: one of the flagships is a german altbeer which is excellent. There is always a good selection of in house beers and there is really no reason to order anything that isn't made there. They also occasionally host a homebrew competition with the winner's recipe served on tap. The location is also great: within walking distance of the First Niagara Center and Coca Cola Field.
