Visited before and after the Buffalo Brewfest. Absolutely huge bar with lots of patio space (even if some of them overlook the I-90 or whatever the hell its called). Fairly decent atmosphere, and I bet it gets rammed on gameday due to its proximity to the baseball stadium and the HSBC arena. The beers I had were pretty mediocre, and for that reason I doubt I'll ever go back next time I swing through town. They were all lacking a little something, although the best of the bunch was the (Canal) Street Brawler stout, which was passable. I ordered the smoked gouda soup, and it made a pleasing lunch. The rest of the menu looks like regular bar fare. Service was good and friendly, so no complaints there, although when I tried to order the IIPA from the chalkboard it turned out it had not been on tap for 4 days, but you know how hard it is to wipe chalk off a board... Prices seemed to be inline with what I expected.

Why do I keep coming back here? Perhaps its because its so close to the bus station and makes a good place to kill time? I've had two subsequent visits. Its still not a real beer destination, falling between two stools, with all the beer being better than macro, but worse than your average craft. Pales in comparison to Buffalo's other beer bars.

The beer is awful here. There have been numerous brewmasters throughout the years that have changed the recipe countless times. I can't even finish an American IPA here without struggling. Great place to watch a game or eat food but avoid the beers at all cost

Must visit if you're in the area. Live music on the weekends. Great, great, great food. Decent selection, rarely out of what you wanted.

Local Brewery that is a great place for pre or post game for Sabres, Bandits or any event at the Arena or outdoor concert venue downtown. There are two levels, and an outdoor patio (late spring, summer and Fall) that are open to the public. There are also 2 other areas for rentals for parties, wedding receptions, etc. The Service at the bar varies between the bartenders on at the time, but they have a wide selection of different styles at all times (including blue and blue light for friends who don't take risks). The servers are fairly attentive and every meal that I have had has been good, Chicken Wings are excellent. The price for the beers is great $4.60 each last night. The price of food is a little bit higher that other places, but not overpriced for a brewery.
The beers are decent, nothing out of this world, but there is something for everyone which makes this a great meeting place pre or post event!

Passing through Buffalo, stopped here for dinner and some brews, really enjoyed the place. Service was fast and friendly, food tasted good, prices were reasonable. Their house beers were overall pretty good and I hope to go back the next time I am passing through.

Stopped in before a Sabres game. This is the place to go, only a block away from the rink. The main level was full, but they told us we could seat ourselves in the heated outdoor patio. I was a little concerned when they told us this, but they have a full bar and lots of room. We didn't feel the cold, but that could have been the beers that helped. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and order our food, but its a good system because the food was quick considering how busy the place was. The beer selection was overwhelming, which isn't a bad thing in my books. There were 10-12 taps and lots of selection from light to dark beer. I tried a double IPA and a raspberry stout. Both were very tasty. Food was average pub food, but well done. We had wings, fries and other finger foods.
