I am happy to say that Natalie's has really stepped up their game. I visited to find an increased selection of beer from what I found two years ago. So much so that Natalie's has moved from an ‘Also Has Beer’ to one of ‘The Big Three’ in the Memphis area which also includes Joe's and Buster's. Natalie’s has always sold beer, but now I am finding selections of beer here that is missing from the other two. I didn't see any breweries that were new, just different styles from the ones that distribute to the Memphis area. Still, it's nice to see some fresh selections in town.
I prefer Joe's because I am in their beer club so I get a discount which is nice (plus there sign is a local landmark) but the prices at Natalie's were good; probably better than Buster's which I think is overpriced (I will have to verify this to be sure).
As far as service I really didn't seek any. Maybe next time.

Very pleasant atmosphere. All the employees were very helpful and nice to my wife and I. They have a very large amount of wine, champagne, and liquor. That seems to be their main attraction. However, they have a very nice little selection of beer as well. I liked this place because I didn't have to search hard to find a good beer. They don't have a huge selection, just a small GOOD selection. Stone Vertical Epic 11-11-11, Sierra Nevada Celebration, Harvest, and Torpedo, as well as other Stone Brews, Laughing Dog, Nappa Smith, and some Belgium offerings.

Natalie's is one of the better places for high gravity beer in the Memphis area. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lately, there has been a good selection of American craft beers, especially Sierra Nevada. Also, there is a decent selection of Begians and other European imports.
I have been to Joe's Liquors (another highly rated spot in Memphis), which has a good selection, but Natalie's has the same selection with a bigger quantity, as far as I can remember.
For me, Natalie's is the best in town, that I have been to. Also, Natalie's is in a good location for those in the East Memphis, Germantown, and Cordova areas.

very similar to buster's in selection but i think they win out in service and pricing. freshness is an issue though, alot of the bottles were coated in dust (found a 3 year old left hand DIPA, gross). another issue would be that the majority of their beer selection is at room temp, only 2 coolers were used for beer. service is always good, the staff seems very knowledgeable about beer and i've bought many a bottle on their recommendations. they usually have more limited release stuff than the other area liquor stores. a must-stop if you're in the memphis area

for memphis high gravity beer this is as good as it gets. Problem is Memphis is in a beer black hole, it just does not have alot of beer. Natalie's does have the best selection for Memphis.Just picked up the new Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ipa, they also carry Flying Dog,DFH,Stone,Rogue,Chimay,Orval, and more like Affligem, Corsendunk, Westmalle, Duvel, Delirium Nocturnum, Delirium Tremens, Gouden Carolus Grand Cru, Gouden Carolus Triple,Grimbergen Blonde, Grimbergen Dubbel,Kasteel Brigand,Kasteel Brown

This place is located on sort of the western side of Memphis, right down the road from the Flying Saucer.. While this place is big on the liquor side of the business, they do have a fairly decent selection of brews as well...I remember seeing several Belgian offerings like the Rochefort family, Orval, Duvel, the Chimay family amd a few others as well as a respectable showing for the American craft scene with brews from DFH, Stone, Sierra Nevada, and Flying Dog. The service left a little to be desired as I felt like I was on my own but overall, this is a pretty good place to pick up some quality brews in Memphis.
