This one poured a hazy yellow orange with a 1/2" head that left a thin ring of bubbles around the edge. The smell is cotton candy, bubblegum, light sweet fruits, and a slight hint of some sour lemon. The taste is actual really bad. There is a strong mouth puckering sour lemon flavor that dominates everything. The sweetness tries to come through but is beaten back by the sourness. There is no carbonation at all in the feel of this one and it is very thin and watery. The drinkability is horrible and this was a very rare drainpour for me. I really wanted to like this but I guess my wife is still the only good thing to come out of Ohio.

I cannot comprehend some of the bad reviews. Many seem ignorant of what this brewery is about. Worst case scenario I've had with Jester is that it sometimes tastes better ( read a nice rounded sour) a few weeks after I buy it. Hey Zeus, Indigo Imp is making some of the most interesting beer I've had in a sea of baby Ohio micro breweries.

Pours a hazy copper color. Thin head dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is reminiscent of a blonde Belgian ale. Fruity esters with clove. Up front flavors are spicy citrus, lemons, dried apricot, clove. Finish is sour citrus with perhaps a bit of anise and burnt orange. Flavors are complex, but perhaps a little too sour for my palate. This would be a refreshing beer for a hot day, but it’s not one to sit and savor.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass.
Cloudy apricot in color, with an airy head of quickly fading off-white foam.
Aroma-Spicy yeast notes
Taste-Spicy yeast, faint pineapple and pear, definite Belgian underpinnings. Interesting flavor and nicely balanced.

Rocky, frothy head atop a beautiful creamy orange body. Aroma of sweet citrus and clove. Starts a touch sweet, then the malt backbone, and of course all the complexity of a Belgian yeast including banana, clove, and orange. Finishes just a touch dry. Unyielding effervescence.

I like this one quite a bit. Really lets the yeast and its complexity shine. Not great reviews elsewhere, but I have no idea why. Looks good, smells good, feels good, tastes better.

This beer more than any other of Indigo Imp's seems to have been negatively affected by some bad yeast in some previous batches. Call it QC, call it whatever, it's certainly improved now.

Pale orange with a golden-hued brightness, this beer is also quite clear. An interestingly colored head, sort of a light tan but not exactly, reaches a full finger in height. It's retained for a decent length of time. Lacing is light to moderate.
There's lots of sweet fruit on the nose, including a hint of banana, red and white grape, and pear. It's complemented by a bite of spice. Overall, it shows nice depth and proves itself Belgian in style. There's a light floral hoppiness, but not a whole lot.
Fairly tasty and quite interesting, I get the impression of toast with apple jam in the taste.. It's definitely sweeter than it is hoppy, and there's a big banana finish to it.
The body is light and the feel is smooth. It remains sweet into the finish, and even gets a little tingly (spicy?) on the tongue.

12 ounce bottle from Ryan011235, poured into a La Chouffe tulip. Slightly hazy orange with a fizzy soda pop-style head that's gone in a flash. No head, no lace. I do like the hue, though.

Smells bready with a vague fruity marmalade quality. I suppose there's a light stray spicy Belgian yeast note in there somewhere, but as this stuff warms up, the fruit smells take a turn toward tart and overpowering territory.

Holy mackerel, tart indeed, not to mention sorta rotten tasting. Multiple tiny sips are required to evaluate this critter, and tiny sips are frankly all I care to venture. Vegetative, medicinal, somehow with a fruitiness that's simultaneously tart, almost sour, but overripe. The abundant carbonation does this stuff no favors; then again, the level of carbonation is probably the least of the concerns here.

Bottle conditioned Belgian ale. I can appreciate that. Flavor fits to style, but it's a bit too strong along several lines. More soapy than I'd prefer. There's a real strong yeasty citrus thing too. Feel is nice and it's pretty easy to drink, but if things were reigned in a lot more and characteristics more refined instead of all over the place, I could appreciate it more. An okay execution, but not quite where it should be.
