I was not expecting much when I checked this place out. First, they have a rather large selection of beers and wines. The beers run along the wall on two sides of the. They are in coolers and the length of the store is roughly 15-20 yards, although this is a guesstimate.

The quality is definitely there although they do not have quite the level of Coffee Grounds, nearby. The selection too is quite good and they have a hodge-podge of beers. Dog fish head, dark horse, bells, capital, founders, and others. There is also the random assortment of expected imports and a few unique additions. The service is definitely lacking. The guys working the counter seemed interested in what you were buying and why. They may even give you advice. However, they were certainly not out trying to answer questions and see if there were other beers you may be interested in. Overall, it is a place I will stop in conjunction with Coffee Grounds when I'm making my Eau Claire rounds, as it is definitely worth it.

When I first moved to the area I was really looking forward to finding a great place to go for different varieties of beer. There is a huge selection of craft beers. They carry seasonals and are always trying a few new things, which keeps it interesting. They also have a wide variety of foreign and domestic beer. Near the back of the store they have a walk in cooler, mostly for just the domestics. There is also a wide variety of mix and match beers to create your own six pack if you want to try new and different beers. The mix and match selection is mostly craft beers from local breweries and breweries all over the nation. There is also a selcetion of foreign beers for the mix and match. Even if this place doesnt carry something that you want you can always ask for it. Ive had them get a beer they have never carried before. This is a great place for to get some new beers to try.

I had the chance to visit Gordy's while in the area for a Beerfest event they sponsored. The fact that they sponsor a Beer Advocacy event such as this raises this establishment up a couple notches in my book, especially when the beers at the event were top shelf!

The selection of beer at this store is excellent...lot's of beer that isn't even carried at the local stores where I live (and I thought they had an excellent selection). My friend has talked to the Manager about getting beer they didn't have in stock on many occasions and he has never fallen short with his exceptional service.

When I'm in the area, I always love to pay Gordy's a visit. I look forward to their next Beerfest event next Summer!

This was the first store that I got into in EC. Less pricey than Coffee Grounds and still a good selection, but not as good as Coffee Grounds.

I've managed to pick up quite a few Dogfish Head, Founders (recently the Breakfast Stout), North Coast brews, Bell's (but not the Expedition Stout...ps Coffee Grounds had that + Rochefort 10) all in all a good place to go. It's closer to my house than Coffee Grounds and the prices are a little lower...but for selection head to the Coffee Grounds :)

Plus on Fridays the Coffee Grounds has free beer tastings from 5-7pm :)

As I have already visited the Lake Wissota location several times before, I decided to give this one a visit. The selection is pretty close to the same as the other store, but this one does have a bit more. Their New Glarus selection is much beter, several more seasonal and Unplugged series brews available. They also carry Central Waters and Stone. They are very reasonably priced. Viking 4-packs are only $4.50. Their single bottle selection is decent, plenty of Belgian and German imports to choose from. Service wasn't much to speak of. Everything in the store was cold, no warm shelf, but that's OK, because I'm not paranoid about letting cold beer warm up to room temp like some. The cashier was a nice kid who tried talking to me about beer, but wasn't very knowledgeable when I asked him about certain beer, and there seemed to be no other employees there. He also seemed a little annoyed that I asked him for a box to put my 4 six packs in. Other than that, it was a pretty great place to get some beer.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. Huge Place, large selection of common craft beer, nothing is terribly unusual in there selection. They had a large assortment of single bottles that are individually priced.

As far as price is concerned you can spend as much or as little as you want. They do have Founders Double Trouble priced at $19.69, which is absolutely ridiculous. (Hence my value category being high)

Definately the second or third choice to go for good beer selection in the Eau claire area.
