Received in the June shipment of my beer of the month club.
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into new Summit Pint glass.
Appearance: Very hazy dark orange (almost brown) with thin head and slight lacing.
Smell: Semi-sweet grainy malt with nice citrus and maybe pine hops. Smells hoppier than most APAs.
Taste: Sweet fruity and grainy malts countered by pretty high hop bitterness (mostly an orange citrus profile). The hops are quite impressive, but the malts, much less so.
Feel: Medium body and relatively high carbonation. Despite the too sweet backbone, it finishes dry.
Drinkability: Fuller taste than many APAs, but the strange malt profile makes it slightly less drinkable. Still quite nice, and a different take on the style.

Golden colo, slight haze to it, not the most impressive pale I've laid eyes on. Almost nothing in the aroma department. Just like a macro beer, but at least it doesn't have corn going on for it.
Taste, mild, non offensive, dare I say bland. No discernable hop character. No real caramel quotient, prolly hits it up w/ chrystal or whatnot. Smooth mouthfeel, but seriously, what's the deal with the hops? Isn't even sweet or chewy. Its total filler beer, but the problem is, who wants to pay $10 a 6er for filler beer?
Extremely simplistic beer. Would not recommend to someone who really likes beer that is bold.

This beer pours a slightly cloudy light copper color, with a thin white head. the head fades quickly, leaving very little lace.
This beer has a thin subtle hop aroma. Some mild malt makes an appearance. It also has a slight grainy aroma to it.
This beer tastes like it smells. Subtly hoppy, with a slight caramel malt flavor. It tastes slightly grainy. Not much else.
This beer is crisp and refreshing. It leaves a slight grainy aftertaste. The carbonation is just right.
This beer might make a good session beer. It tastes very mellow, and the alcohol content is not too high.
Overall: This was a decent beer. It could use a bit more flavor, but oh well.

Joseph James- Tahoe Blue
A- Deep caramel orange brown with a thick frothy head. Solid big ringed lacing.
S- Very grainy with a touch of sugary caramel malt.
T- Thick raisiny caramel malt with sugary pine hops.
M- Very grainy thick malt, very sweet, and a good dry hop finish.
Overall- improves as it warms up. A bit on the sweet side.

My neighbor found a mixed pack down state and let me sample a Tahoe Blue. This was a solid apa with a nice hop bite. Was a bit bitter, strong grapefruit tones...perhaps some better balance with the malt. The mouthfeel to me was a little thinner than I expected for a APA but it did have nice flavor good maltyness and a somewhat agressive hoppiness for the style....this is a good beer and worth a try.

Me thinks this is my first beer from Nevada, so here goes...
Pours nothing but head (cream colored) not a good sign, amber color hiding underneath. Murks up as the bottle is emptied, good head retention & lacing
S: Grassy, some caramel
T" Bready notes mix with grassy & lemony hops, no obvious hints of infection up front. Astringent & woody hops dominate as this warms, some apricot, grapefruit bitterness as well once warm. Finishes a little stronger than it started, grapefruit really comes om strong, along with a touch of biscuit malt to balance this out
Medium bodied, firm carbonation & alright balance
This got better as it warmed, an alright APA. No freshness dating on the bottle, would try again if assured of freshness

From BOTM Club (Just started)
Appearance - Pours a medium amber color. Held up to the light it looks quite nice - a bit hazy. I'm not sure if the reviewer below me received a different beer than me, because with a vigorous pour I obtained just over two fingers width of cream colored head. Stuck around for a while then produced decent lacing on the glass.
Smell - Nothing overpowering of the nose. Definitely can smell the hops and the citrus - a hint of caramel/honey.
Taste - Sweet tasting at first followed up by the hop/citrus kick. There is a lasting bitter aftertaste but nothing that is horrible - an overall dry finish.
Mouthfeel - There is medium body and a nice amount of carbonation - I feel it fits this drink.
Drinkability - Goes down quickly and is not that bad. Compared to the other offering from Joseph James, I preferred this one much more.

Yeah...1st Canadian to review this brew!
A- Pours a decently hazy amber color with a nice three inch head, that isn't all that dense, yet isn't fizzy....it settles to a soapy layer over the beer. Lots of fine looking columned bubbles rise to the top as well. There is a decent amount of lacing clinging onto the glass...lots of wispy peaks to be exact. Decent looking to start out with!
S- There is a sweetness that blends in well with some citrus like tartness, to dominate that aromas. The sweetness is almost cotton candy like while the tartness comprises grapefruit, tangerine and lemon zest. Fresh hop bitterness is present in the finish as well.
T- Wow, totally different than the smell lets on. Aggressive hop bitterness. After the initial palate shock of leafy cones, there are underlying notes of malt sweetness, and the aforementioned citrus rinds/flesh, and with a natural tasting sweetness.
M- Good carbonation and medium bodied, leave this soft yet crisp and clean feeling. Well balanced between the bitter and sweet characteristics, the flavors all stand out well.
O- Easy enough to drink, but it doesn't get any more complex as it warms. I still think that it is well balanced and is a good hybrid between an IPA and APA...the Nevada Pale Ale!

Random new arrival in downstate Illinois. Possible julian code printed on the bottom of the bottle: "290 A-1 1122". First NV beer.
Bright reddish orange with plankton-like particles floating in suspension. Thin layer of white foam that fades down to an unbroken skim after a few sips, leaving behind some irregular lace.
Grassy, floral nose, dried herbs, fruity yeast esters. Lightly bitter resiny herbal flavors mingle with bready caramel malt in the middle. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice hoppy aftertaste that lingers. Herbal pine character seems to dominate. Nice enough, if not a fairly typical APA.

I had this the other day at Casino Fandango in Carson City. I was drinking with my wife's uncle and it was dollar drinks at the bar.
Appearance- coppery color, pretty good head
Smell- some hops, malt
Taste- hops mainly
Mouthfeel- medium bodied
Drinkability- I thought this was pretty good. Other than this one it was only domestics that were a dollar. So it was a great deal. I would like to have it again. I will look for it next time I'm in Carson City.

Came with the Beer of the Month Club. Pours amber in color with 1/4 inch creamy head; smells of hops, floral hops, citrus and fruit. Has a tart hop and malt taste mixed with caramel and citrus; an earthy middle (almost like wheat germ) with medium carbonation.
A spicy bitter finish makes for an overall decent pale ale. I enjoyed this beer (all 3 that came in the mail) as it went down smooth, and I would seek it out again.

Still working on the BOTMC stockpile. On cracking the top there is a very sweet malty smell almost like a tripel. Pours to an opaque yellowish orange with a creamy but thin head. Taste is, woah, there are the hops, but not real standout. This is not real balnced and more malty up front but the hops do come around. A very different taste for this ale, almost a sweet butterscotch start with a subdued gritty hoppiness, followed by a hoppier finish. Mouthfeel seems to lack a little bit of carbonation but too little is better than too much. Quite unique and tasty. Apparantly brewed with lots of early hops but not much near the finish. I grade it for its complex uniqueness.

Second beer from the new guys in town. This one is good, but could use some work. Pours with virtually no head, very flat looking. I tried a more aggressive pours and even with that, not much. Slightly hazy, rich copper color. Smell was good, a nice balance of malt and hops. The hops did seem a little faint for a pale though. Taste was strong of sprucey hops and a nice mellow bitterness. A good malt backbone gives good balance. I was worried as I thought there was a bit of a soapy taste to it, which I've yet to experience in a beer. Mouthfeel was good but a little on the watery side. Overall a good beer. Pretty aggressive ABV for a pale, but a solid offering. I have a feeling on tap this would be much better (dont ask me why though).

I got a sneak preview of this from the brewers....great guys...
I liked this one it was a good solid apa with a nice hop bite. I agree with BH on the first review it could use some work- the mouthfeel to me was a little thinner than I expected for a APA but it did have nice flavor good maltyness and a somewhat agressive hoppiness (which I like) for the style....this is a good a start fron the guys at Joseph James
