Hop Box is our tribute to hops! Bury your nose in a glass and inhale. Pungent aromas immediately enrich your senses. Hop Box has both pine and citrus notes that arise from the bucketfuls of hops we add to the kettle and again into the fermentation tanks. We attempt to pack as much hop flavor and aroma into your glass as possible. Drink in the rich resinous flavors that elevate the heady aromatics. The hop box sips crisp and finishes dry with a lingering bitterness that begs you to take another sip.

Tasted from a 12 oz can bought in Las Vegas.

L - Light golden color and fairly clear. White head dissipates relatively quickly.

S - Aromatic hops are tangerine, tropical fruit and low pine. Herbal, earthy hops aroma blends in at the finish. Malt shows itself as a sweet, bready note throughout, adding some balance. Clean fermentation does not add yeast notes.

T - Strong hops flavors of citrus and tropical fruit. Not much malt at all--I expect more balance from a Imperial IPA. Light bready note in the finish.

F - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Very high hops bitterness. Moderate alcohol presence.

O - This is a good IPA, but a bit disappointing to me as an Imperial IPA, because it does not have the customary malt balance.

Poured from can into a pint glass
Apprance-The beer pours a golden orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades fast to leave a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is strong of a tropical fruit smell, mixed with a good showing of citrus hop. Along with these smells comes a bit of bread and light harvest fruits.
Taste - The taste begins with the big tropical fruit taste that was in the nose. There is some of the citrus hop that was in the nose as well. The sweeter fruit tastes, along with the citrus hop, get stronger and are joined by some pine and a bit of grass. In the end a little bit of hay and some grass come to the tongue to leave one with a dmoth and sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the thicker side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the fruit and hop the feel is spot on and makes this brew almost too easy to drink.
Overall- This is one fantastic brew. It has a great mix of flavor, drink ability, and feel. I don't know why this has not been rated higher by others. This is good.

L: little hazy with a orange yellow amber color with 3 fingers of head and lacy.

S: smells of sweetness, mall and a bit of citrus. Pineapple and Grapefruit. Smell is deceiving to taste. With hops as well.

T: Hoppy with a sweet caramel bite, bit floral but really can't taste citrus or hops, pretty dissapointing.

F: feel a bit of carbonation, not real heavy just not great.

O: very disappointed for this local brewery 8.2 ABV and 90 bitterness. Just not there. The hops is average at best. Does not taste like a west coast style IPA at all. Overall would not purchase this again. Very dissapointing.

Bold, big, dank, refreshing.

What more do you want from a beer?

Thanks to my bro and sis-n-law for the gift.

Delicious pungency rules the day. Feels good man.
