From notes. Tasted in August 2010 from a bottle received as a trading extra. Pours a clear light brown with very little head, but just decent lace. The nose is caramel malt with good fruitiness, featuring mostly dried fruits, and a nice grapefruit hop aroma that sneaks in under everything else. The flavor has some sweetness up front, but is a little more bitter than expected from the nose with the citrus and almost raisin fruitiness coming through as well. The body is fairly full, but has somewhat of a watery texture with very little carbonation and a long bitter and fruity finish.

Appearance: Pours with a head of about two and a half fingers. Golden, glowing orange color. On the lower side of active carbonation. Sticky lacing left behind at each level.
Smell: Grainy caramel hits first. Straw with some heavier saturated citrus fruits shows up on the body. The back end sweetens up a bit with some spiciness.
Taste: Caramel malts greet the palate. Pine and heavy citrus hop profile jumps the drinker. Grainy finish with some lighter, spiced notes which are pretty interesting.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is low. Dry finish with some malt sweetness.
Overall: A pretty middle of the road DIPA. Nothing really stands out, too malt forward. Just feels like they didn't take any risks making this beer.
