Corked 375ml green bottle into tulip.

A: Pours a clear yellow urine color with almost no head. A few white bubbles surfaced on top of the beer but they quickly faded into a faint collar. No lace.
S: Sickly sweet notes of banana syrup are cloying and dominating. I detect a very faint touch of what could be barrel funk, but overall I just get sugar banana syrup.
T: Follows the nose with the cloying sugary banana flavor dominating. In the finish there is a note or two of something that reminds me of cream, and the aftertaste is full of more banana and slight apple, grape juice and pear.
M: Very low carbonation that briefly fizzes up in my mouth over a syrupy thick body and full, viscous, mouthfeel.
O: Pretty much what I expected, I unfortunately expected this to be bad. Not undrinkable, but this tastes more like drinking straight banana syrup used in sodas than it does a lambic.

I've never had a Chapeau, another candy like lambic from Belgium. Instead of the effervescent champagne head I'm used to with Lindeman's I barely got any bubbles even after a pretty hard pour. The Banana Lambic, I've seen the beer a hundred times over the years, and never even thought once that I need to try this, until now. Looks like a mild carbonated cider thin white head, aroma has some tartness and hints from the oak barrels along with the candy like banana natural banana flavor additions. Slightly tart underneath, with a Wonka candy, Runts like banana flavor. Very sweet more than one would give you a stomach ache, this is not true lambic but definitely good for moderation or dessert. Overall mouthfeel is cloying residual sugars build up on the palate with each sip, low carbonation doesn't carry the syrupy texture very well either. Overall an interesting take on a Belgian inspired classic style like Lambic.

375ml corked bottle, just arrived at my store today. Pouring into 3 sample cups to share with a couple employess (our cashier likes it) and get their take on it as well in addition to using this review for my Beer Club.

AP: Nice light honey-like colour and it's keeping it's head at about 1/4", which is all I can get out of a sample cup. Looks to have assertive carbonation as the bubbles are flowing bottom to top.
AR: Ripe banana and banana chips (the ones with sugar on them) with green tart apples, apple cider and pear aromas to compliment. Smells pretty tasty.
T: Decent flavour on this. Typical lambic taste of apple cider, tart green apples, pear and even white grape. The banana seems missing at first, but then makes an appearance weaving in and out with the other flavours. The base flavours are quite good. On the finish the banana is more prominent and sweeter in a slightly sugary way, which to me I'd rather have a more natural banana flavour than the sweet kind.
M: Not as carbonated as the visual would indicate, I'd say only mildly so but it does provide a little creaminess. Body is light to moderate with a crisp finish, but due to the sweetness of the banana flavour it's neither dry nor off dry and doesn't cleanse your palate.
OV: A tasty easy drinking brew. This one goes down very easy. If you like banana flavour, but aren't necessarily a Lambic fan, this still might work for you. For those who are hardcore 'true' Lambic fans, you might find this too sweet. Either way worth a try. I'd have it again.

This beer is a deep gold, somehow very bright even with quite a bit of haze in it. It develops an off-white head that reaches just a little over a finger to cap it. Retention is good, and fairly ample lacing clings mostly in spotting but with light patching as well.
At first, this beer brings the funk. When the bottle is first opened, that's the first thing that pours out of the nose. Interestingly, the barnyard/horseblanket funkiness fades to a very light note, with a pure banana sweetness pulling out strongly. There's a little bit of spiciness underlying it. The funky, yeasty notes let me know it's a lambic for sure, at least before that fades away, and the banana's definitely ample.
In the flavor, the funk only shows up very lightly underneath, though spicy and mildly phenolic notes tell the yeast's tale. The major issue becomes how cloyingly sweet the banana tends to get. Definitely a sipper, but a pleasure if you're into banana.
The body's a firm medium but on the lighter edge and carbonation is moderate, lending itself to a firm, crisp bite that's sustained well. It gets a little fluffy in the smoothness, but it doesn't detract much.

A hazy straw colored beer. A low off-white head with small lacing and small curtains.

Smelling of artificial banana, sweet and disturbingly acid, a banana belch whiff.

Tasting very sweet, banana soda, no beer wibes to talk about.

Low carbonation, a sticky texture. A small body with a watery finish.

This was entirely an soda-gone-wrong experience. "Interesting".
