Served from a bottle at Lexington Beerworks (KY)
Dark red-brown color with a decent head and lacing.

Strong raspberry aroma with hints of cherries, jam and cooked rapberries plus a very slight funk.

Flavor: Follows the nose. Strong and dominant raspberry flavor. Mildly sweet, with a near perfect level of sweetness given the limited tartness.

Light body; medium carbonation.

O: excellent raspberry flavor despite a less promising aroma.

Pours with no head at all, this beer also has very, very little carbonation. The beer itself is a very light reddish brown with lots of lightness in color around the edges of the glass.

The nose is probably the best part of this beer, it smells exactly like ripe, fresh, raspberries. There is also just a hint of funk around the edges, not much, and its largely crowded out by sweet raspberry, but its there.

This beer is very, very sweet up front, it tastes like super ripe raspberry. After this initial burst of sweetness there is just a hint of acidity and funk, its not much and it doesn't linger on the aftertaste the way many good lambic beers do, but it is there buried under the initial sweetness.

This beer is ok. I enjoyed it, but it was much, much sweeter than I was expecting. I don't know how this particular beer is created, but it is much more towards the sweet side than the funky. I would give it a 1/10 on the sour scale.

For the price ($7.50 for a 530ml) it was a pretty decent beer. I probably wouldn't buy it again though.

A: The beer is relatively clear reddish amber in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with an eighth of an inch high rosé head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles in the center and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of raspberries are present in the taste.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of sweet raspberries. No tartness is present.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and isn't overly sweet or have flavors that seem artificial, although it does get sweeter as the beer warms up.
