Shared by schen9303. Poured from a 12oz. corked bottle into a Blue Point snifter.
A: Gentle pour yields a 1 finger coarse white head with no retention. Beer itself is a cloudy bright red. Lacing is stringy and spotty with decent cling.
S: Nose is strong cherry and rotting wood. Tickles the nose and is quite aggressive and abrasive.
T: This is a sweet lambic and boy is it sweeet! Cherry syrup throughout and nothing else. Very simple and even though I appreciate simplicity, this is one has a strange cork flavor that is present throughout that bothers me.
M: Light to medium bodied with little carbonation though its not particularly smooth. Slightly watery in the mouth and partially dry with a finish that sticky and slightly spicy.
D: I've appreciated sweet lambics in the past but this one is really not for me. Flavor is weird and the feel doesn't help here. I can't get over the rotten cork flavor in the nose and taste. Pass on this one.

Ruby red ale with a small pink colored head.
Smells of spicy cherry. Big scent of cherries and spice. Essentially it smells like cherry pie. Smells sweet and a little tart. Very fruity.
Starts out tasting of cherry and woody with a tart after taste. Distinct taste of cork. Mildly bitter but is more of an astringent bitterness.
Mouthfeel is good.
Overall a tasty beer. On the sweet side for a Lambic.

Pours a clear reddish color with minimal pinkish head. Cherries, oak, and some light funk on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with a little sweetness, nice cherry flavor, and some oak wood.

Sampled at THT June tasting. Hazy purple with no head. Cherries in the nose, cherries and some cabbage in the taste. Tons of sugar. Medium body with no carbonation.

Reviewed in "Michael Jackson's Great Beers of Belgium", this awaits my review once I have it again... although it is a bit too sweet for me to seek.

Orange/ruby in color with tiny head. Aroma of sour cherries and malt. Nothing special, but not bad either. Just average. Sugary sweetness stays on the palate.

The color is beautiful, ruby red, clear.
Foam, no, just a few mid-sized bubbles.
The aroma is reminiscent of delicate cherry liqueur, strawberry and feel slightly like a touch of cinnamon
Taste: stewed cherries but also very delicate notes of strawberry, raspberry and cinnamon which is this time quite clear.
Bitterness is minimal, delicate and stone. The loading medium, in this case a suitable
In conclusion Kriekenlambik of De Troch is very delicious beer, slightly tart and slightly seasoned perfectly suited to the heat of the day

A: Red with a brown tinge, cloudy with yeast sediment on the bottom of my glass. Topped with a pinkish brown tinged white head.
S: Cherries, red fruit, raspberries, malt, sour raspberry vinegar, sweet and artificial sweetener qualities.
T: Light sour lemon notes, light fresh cherries, a sort of stale closet moth ball effect.
M: Way more watery than I’d expected and less carbonated too. Flat with almost no fine carbonation. Lemon water in consistency. A hint of mustard.
O: Unique, watery and I think this one, which has no BBD, is really old. If its supposed to taste like this, it’s a little lacking in substance. Got in Chiang Mai at Beer Terminals, drank in Kunming March 28th, 2015.
