Went here around Easter in 2015. Place seems kind of hippy on the outside but it's a chill little bar/pub on the inside. Staff and patrons seem young, most likely coming from nearby University of Delaware. Beer selection is about half a dozen rotating craft options plus bottles.
Cool place to go to for a beverage in the evening when you are looking to hang out or pre-game before something else.

I/we probably would have had a better time here if the service/waitress we had was not such a knuckle head....clueless and slow....mid sized room large windows out onto the main drag of Newark...a few decent taps, larger bottle options..they do show moderate beer love, but just didnt get an overall good feeling about the bar scene/beer appreciation goin on here...food, when we finally got it was just better then decent, nobody in our party of 6 was overly impressed with the scene/food,doubtful I'd try this place again....Iron Hill is just down the block

This is our local beer bar. It has a fun atmosphere and is certainly the best choice for beer enthusiasts who are at the University of Delaware. Like the previous reviewer said, they have 6-7 taps, but there are always dedicated hoegarden, guiness, and yuengling taps. That said they frequently have offerings from evolution, victory, and rogue on tap and the staff is great. They have live music on wednesday, friday and saturday nights. The real value however is in their drink specials. Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays after 10pm all drafts are 2 dollars off. With most of their beers starting in the 4-6 dollar rage this is as good as you will get for your money in Newark.

This is my favorite place in Newark. It is always a pleasant time and a good mix of people - older and younger for a college town and being on the older side. Sometimes, small music acts, often just food and drink with a lively bar that was recently redone. Six taps I believe - always a DFH, Sam Adams, plus others. Used to do a mystery micro brew special that I enjoyed, but they have discontinued this and now have consistent tap offerings. Good happy hour deals - half price pipnts. Bottle selection is mostly 22ozs with great pricing - southern tier, Rogue, etc. Most are $7.95. Don't often eat food here, but when have found it to be both reasonable and good.
