Hopluia, introduced in 16oz. cans in January 2005, is the first canned Nebraska beer since Falstaff closed in 1984. The 32oz. bottles have been discontinued.

Some of the old tap handles still list the beer as Hopalleuia.

Cheers to isanlee for this brew in a BIF. Pours with a thin head. Darker amber in color. A slight smell of hops and malt. Tastes like a good English IPA with a balance of hops & malt. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is very smooth. A nice example of the style. Cheers.

On tap:
A clear light golden with a nice white head and strong initial lacing.

Nose is lightly malty tropical, emphasis on light.

Taste has a session IPA aspect to it, but a nice biscuit malt, a generic tropical note, and a balance in the body that keeps it from being too watery. There's a bit of cattiness that gets into the beer as it warms, and when this comes on, the tropical notes seem more malty sweet.

Light, balanced, maybe even hop-leaning APA. Easily refreshing and not complex, one that could find an occasional spot in the rotation were it available.

A good session beer. Dark Amber color, Well blended malt to hops. Fruity aroma and more Belgium ale in flavor. Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a 24 oz beer stein. Brought from Nebraska by a good friend.

Earthy to a fault. Derivative. Unimpressive presence.

Very sweet hard candy flavor to this one. Looked good and smelled nice, but the flavor profile was all over the place and totally missed the mark for me. The hops were messy and failed to stand up to the malt.
