To be honest the first time I went out there to buy supplies, I was a little sketched out by the shopping center where it is located. The store is out in north east San Antonio, so its a bit of a drive for me. It sits in what appears to be a dying shopping center, although they seem to be fairing just fine. It's a small store and everything is pretty well packed in there. Judging by the size of the store you probably wouldn't be able to guess that they have such a good selection. Some times their hop selection is lacking, but their malt selection is definitely not. They seem to have all of the equipment you would need to brew, except for more expensive items like boilermaker. The people that work there are all very helpful and friendly. In the back they have a kitchen like set up that is used by the monthly home brew club meeting for brewing a beer at the meeting. They are good about ordering supplies if you request it ahead of time. So far I haven't had any problems finding what I need to brew and if I have they usually have a decent replacement for what I'm searching for, unless I waited until right before I brewed to look, so that's my fault. Other then that it's a good store, not the biggest, but it still has a good selection. I just wish it was closer to where I live.

I was a long-time buyer, but customer service has deteriorated lately. The store manager is rude and unhelpful. The store was closed this week during business hours (posted on their website and painted on the door). There's a paper note on the door that says NEW HOURS. One Friday evening, I stopped after work about 20 minutes before closing time. The sales associate was irritated because I interrupted his cigarette break and told me I should come in earlier next time. They're one of the few homebrew shops I've seen that does not offer discounts for American Homebrew Association members.

I dropped in while on a business trip to San Antonio. I wanted to pick up a few ingredients to keep on hand at home because I do not have a local shop.
The shop is not huge, but is well laid out and has a varied selection. One highlight was the selection of specialty grains from lots of countries and well-known producers. The gentelman on duty was friendly and knowledgeable. He made several recommendations that I was happy with. The prices seemed reasonable. I'll definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

I lived in the SA area for about a year and as we all know this area isn't exactly known for it's selection of home brew shops. These guys are a bit of a drive for me as I lived in Spring Branch.
The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I bought some books for brewing and cloning beers. I also bought my first home brew kit from them. I got it to europe and it didn't have the hydrometer in it, but oh well that was six months ago and I doubt they would do anything for me now.
Their selection isn't the biggest I've seen, but it's far in a way from limited. If you want to get into home brewing then these are the guys to see.
I also sold them some bottles don't know how often they buy bottles but I was able to do it.
Also if your looking for it then look for the blockbuster on the street and it's right behind that.
