Ooooh. Sarcophagus. I guess this is going to be the death of me or something like that? Bring it on baby!

Pours quite dark but show ruby hues through it. Nose is tangy bright citrus mixed with clay. Flavor is sweet with fruit tones. Earthy overall character is definitely there. But that sweet and slightly tangy citrus maintains a position above everything else. There also seems to be something like mint in there as well. Feel has a pretty full carbonation and the liquid is appropriately thick I'd say. This is an okay beer. A bit too bright and tangy. Maybe some age in a cellar might smooth it out. Regardless, it's still drinkable.

Beer bottle (33 cl.), tasted in 2010.

Appearance : dark brown color, with tan foamy head.
Smell : roasted malts and caramel aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : full bodied, caramel and malt flavors.
Drinkability : a good beer in the style Belgian strong dark ale (ideal for an aperitif, to drink at cellar t°).
