Poured a cloudy pink color with little head. Had a sweet smell of raspberrys. Taste was sweet of the raspberrys... but not too sweet. Yet I dont think I could drink more than one of these at once. Overall a nice smooth beer that I would reccomend for anyone to try.

8 oz tap pour at Water Street Brewery into an American Tumbler.
A - Pours hazy and a rusty raspberry blood red with a big pink head that dropped quickly to nothing but a tiny ring.
S - Picture sticking your nose into a fresh basket of rinsed off raspberries. That's exactly what this smells like. No other aroma. Just raspberries. Due to the fact that I LOVE fresh raspberries and this is as fresh as fruit beer can smell, it's a really solid aroma. No syrupy aroma at all. The only think keeping it from the 5 of 5 is the fact there isn't any hint of beer behind it. No yeast, wheat, etc.
T - Fresh tart raspberries. No other flavors. Not as good as the aroma in terms of that fresh fruit but as a fruit beer, it's fantastic still. A bit like a lambic framboise more than a weiss but good nonetheless.
M - Tart and dry to the finish. Lighter bodied with a crisp carbonation bite.
D - It's a really solid fruit beer that's not syrupy in the least bit. Not outstanding in any way other than aroma, but definitely delicious for what it is. Would be great in summer but I'd limit myself to two. Much better than a "Berry Weiss" for sure.

Had on-tap at the Mid-Winter brewfest. Pretty damn good tart raspberry smell and taste, though after that, there's not much going on. It's a one-trick pony, and overall tastes a bit like La Croix Raspberry carbonated water, but I was impressed with the authentic, fresh raspberry taste. My girlfriend loved it.

I didn't even have to lean forward to be able to smell this one! The brewer told me that 200 #s of raspberries were added to their Weiss just prior to lagering and I believe him. It smelled like my grandmother's raspberry patch at its peak. The head was a beautiful, foamy, light pink above a deep pink drink that could easily double for pink champagne, were it not for the inherent cloudiness. It had a light mouthfeel, but the raspberries were everywhere: on the nose, the tongue, the finish. Oh, my.

The wonderfully strong raspberry aroma is all I can smell. Taste is of sour raspberries and then something medicinal. Carbonation is low and mouthfeel is rather thin. I think they spent all the money on the raspberries and cut back on everything else. Would be much better with some malted wheat to go along with the raspberries. I had a sip of the Honey Lager Light and that was great. Try it instead.

Served a clouded amber orange in color with practically no head. Decent aroma of raspberries, wheat malt and yeast. Medium-bodied mouthfeel with some crisp carbonation. Initial taste was sour and threw me off quite a bit. I had to take a second sip and try to regroup. Flavor still seemed sour. Raspberries were not sweet at all but were rather overwhelmed by the yeast flavor. If you push aside the sour raspberry flavor you can taste the wheat malt. Even half-way through my pint, things did not get better. One of the worst tasting raspberry weiss beers I've tried.
The sad thing iI remember having this a couple of years ago and it didn't have the off-putting tart flavor I experienced. Not sure if they changed their recipe or not, but I'd probably avoid this offering. I'd recommend orderng the Bavarian Weiss instead.

The beer poured a hazy pink color with a small ring of head over top of the beer. The nose is almost artificial smelling, with tons of raspberry and lots of sweetness. The flavor was nice, with a tart bite from the fruit, not too sweet. Overall a good show. The feel was moderate, nothing special, but not bad. The beer was very easy drinking and smooth. Another one that would be well served as a summer thirst quencher.
