Beautiful location in historic Third Ward. Sat outside overlooking the river and listened to the loud and very poor choice of music from the boat docked opposite. Luckily the waiter eventually told them to turn it down. They almost listened.

Food was all decent, no complaints there. Beer choice was a bit depressing. I noticed when we walked in the board said they had a Belgian Saison on task. Yippee! But they were out. Ordered the Belgian Wit. Out of that too and out of yet another. Guess you can't even get the 6 beer sampler since there were not six left to choose from. Did get two different brews that were very good, just not what I wanted. On the way out I ordered a six pack to go of one of the beers that was out, they said they had it in bottles. Paid for it and waited longer than I did to get my food to get this beer to go.

All in all I guess I left with a bit of a sour taste of an experience but I did enjoy the food and beer I had and would try again and hope for a better selection. (1,007 characters)

It's a big place with a deck over looking the river. We were there on a Sunday in March and service was a little lax. The food and beer were decent but not great. (162 characters)

Enjoyed visiting this place since late 90's on Milwaukee trips. Good range of food options and sincerely appreciate the vegetarian menu choices. Most beers are fairly decent, none bad, but also none that were really hitting it out of the park. Examples for styles seemed aimed at a more general audience, which is fine with me because that's more in line with my tastes as well. Parking can be tough downtown in this area sometimes, which is a common annoyance with me. (469 characters)

Huge space with lots of seating options at the bar or at tables/booths. Cool artwork on the walls, live music, and overall a fun place to meet friends for a drink and a bite.

A few nit picky things. 1) Our server was either drunk or just too goofy. The slurring of his words and attempts at humor were distracting from the overall experience. 2) 2 out of 3 beers were served in cold frosted glasses and were weren't drinking light beers (stout and belgian double). Fortunately my cask aged IPA was served at room temp.

In the end, there were some good beers once they warmed up (stout and belgian double). My IPA was disappointing. However, the food was excellent all around. I had the chicken sandwich, and my friends had the fish fry.

I need to give this place a second chance, as I would hope our server is atypical (or maybe having a down night). Maybe grabbing a seat at the bar would put me in contact with a knowledgeable and less obnoxious bartender. (963 characters)
