If malt and hops are the two poles of brewing, this beer is the gently spinning sweet spot between them. First, you’ll notice the spicy aromas of Vanguard and Liberty hops. Then - wipe the foam off the tip of your nose - dive into the toasty flavor of Vienna malt. Dynamo starts strong and finishes crisp and smooth. The balanced flavors, aromas, and even the coppery-red tones of this beer go great with everything. Fear no pairing. The best time to enjoy Dynamo is when you’re thirsty.

Pours an effervescent honey/amber color with a pinky of eggshell colored head. Slight haze, better than average head retention & lacing

S: Bready, not much else, some grassyness once warm

T: Bready, some caramel, grassyness, a touch of lemon & grassyness & just a kiss of dryness up front. Breadyness & a touch of cakey sweetness, plus woody hops as this beer warms up. Finishes dry, bready with a little caramel & grassyness

MF: Medium body, subdued carbonation

Drinks easy enough, spot on for the style

Pours a gorgeous copper color with a light tan head that provides ample lacing. Beautiful beer. The nose features spicy noble hop aromas, with grassy, earthy notes, and a nice caramalt aroma. This beer is the picture in the beer nerd dictionary beside “Vienna lager.”

The noble hop flavors are forward on the taste and delicious, with that spicy flavor accentuated by the earthy flavor and the caramalt for balance. This is exceptionally well done.

The mouthfeel is very crisp and medium, spot on for the style. I could drink gallons of this beer.

"Best by 7/21/22"; drank 5/8/22 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy dull orange rust appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.

Caramel, mild citrus & mild pine notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Caramel, light citrus & faint pine flavors; a nice darker lager.

I'd have another.

This is way better than Dovetail Vienna lager.

On tap poured into a pint glass. A clear amber color with a modest white head. Slightly sweet malt on the nose with faint floral hops. Taste followed. A clean slightly sweet malty flavor that embodied Vienna malt. Bitterness was there but restrained. Delicious.

Pours a nice head and has a gorgeous copper-red color. This is one flavorful, smooth lager. Metropolitan seem to have perfected the art of the balanced brew, with a bit of hoppy bite and a developed malty body. This is my "go to" beverage to have with meals because it doesn't try to knock your taste buds out, but instead gets them ready for the main event. Call it the sparring partner beer.

Appearance: Pours a beautiful copper orange color that is bubbly. A massive foamy head that lingers and lingers.
Aroma: Aroma of toasted dark rye bread with cherries.
Flavor: The flavor follows the aroma with even stronger dark toasted rye bread with cherry, black cherry, fig, and more dark fruit. It has a dark syrup rum flavor, No roast or caramel. Little to no bitterness.
Finish: Extremely carbonated, Doesn't finish too sweet. Finishes moderately dry, but the dark rye flavor lingers on the tongue.

Compared to other ambers, this Vienna lager has much more of a dark fruit: cherry, fig, plum. The fruity sweetness is recognizable. Less bitter than an Altbier. Less caramel.

Overall: This is one of my first impressions on a Vienna lager. The Vienna malts are defined. The toasted rye bread flavor with dark fruit is unique and delicious. The carbonation on this beer is absolutely stunning. Much more carbonation than I had expected. First appearance I've ever rated a 5/5. Pour yourself a glass of this and let the cherry run wild.

Really nice golden brown pour with a thin white head, lacing as you go, almost perfect vienna lager appearance. Smell is a little muted, but the signature malts, grains, yeast and toasted caramel are all present. Taste is heavier than expected, but the flavors are well balanced and not overwhelming at all: toasted caramel, toffee, bread, some herbal hops, and earthy undertones. Feel is a little heavy, but I like the chewy nature, but could see how others might be put off. Solid work

pours with a generous white head - beer is a really nice deep copper orange - aroma is a bit too subdued with a standard malty presence - taste features malty, bready notes with a very subtle undertone reminiscent of sweetcorn of all things - there also a presence of toffee and caramel in the aftertaste - mouthfeel is nice and full with a nicely subdued level of carbonation - overall a really nice beer that I would think would pair with a wide variety of foods or just on its own as a great example of a vienna lager - another winner from Metropolitan
