Brewed in homage to the beer of Cologne, Krankshaft is a pale straw hued smile in a glass. We throw in a little wheat malt to round out an easy Santiam hop bitterness. There are no Köbes to serve them up, but you should feel free to have as many as you like.

Had on tap at Paddy Long's
Bright yellow with a good white head, this beer has pleasant light malt flavors with good yeast presence leading to an almost fruity profile. Very clean and crisp on the finish, with a slighly thicker mouthfeel thank I was expecting.
Very drinkable, matching well on its own in summer or fall with lighter foods.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'BEST BY 6/19/2023'.
Nearly clear, straw colored body. Thin cap of foam upon pouring but this does not last. Keeps a thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is grains, which includes barley and wheat.
Taste is sweet with barley malt and a little tang from the wheat malt. Also has flavors of white grape and a bit of green apple.
Medium mouth feel. Clean and crisp finish. Good carbonation.
Easy beer to drink and entices repeated sips.

sampling a cold 12 oz bottle poured into my .2L stange. Figured Id try the smaller glass this time.
The beer pours a straw yellow color with the faintest amount of haziness. The bleached white frothy head foams up large even with a gentle pour and I end up with only about 1/2 of the glass with beer and the other 1/2 foam. This foam has very good staying power and remains a solid surface covering throughout the tasting.
There are multiple active streams of carbonation in the glass and this beer looks very busy in the glass.
Aroma is some bready dough and a lot of white grape or white wine nose. I get a little bit of a grassy note in the background.
First sip reveals a very light body with soft, fine carbonation that rolls across my palate. Crisp texture and overall the beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is mild but does have a bit of bread note and then moves to the white wine and grape notes and I also get a little bit of a more sweet flavor, sort of like apple, but general sweet fruity works. Finish is dry and encourages me to take another sip.
I like this example. The slight haziness a minor detractor, but balanced out by excellent head retention. Overall nice Kölsch from the midwest.

had this on various occasions over the years. draft and bottle, but this pour is from a 12oz bottle into a 2nd Shift stange. pours a chill hazed almost foggy gold with a three-finger soapy white foam head. definitely a little on the cloudy side but still a decent looking beer. lots or earthiness and grassiness to the nose and taste with a bit of spiciness on the finish. it has a medium-full, highly carbonated mouthfeel. pretty smooth and easy drinking.

Pours a pale, slightly hazy straw color with a quickly fading white head and just a hint of lacing. Smell of grass, malts and lightly hopped. Lemon? Light body, nicely carbonated. This is one terrific beer!

Had on tap. Murky bright yellow body, big eggshell white head, trace amounts of lacing. Smells of cracker, light sweet grains, lemon peel, and flowers, but very light overall. Taste has more biscuit than cracker for the maltwork, but the lemon and flowers are again very light, sweeter complexion for style. Feel is bright, springy, full yet crushable and clean. Solid kolsch

Very good kolsch beer from a local brewery. I will buy again. With a little more bite, this could be an outstanding kolsch. Taste look and smell is there for a kolsch

T: The taste has flavors of green grapes along with hints of biscuity malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
