Pours a rich copper color that is clear and sits underneath a light tan head that provides ample lacing. Absolutely gorgeous dunkel. The nose is rye bread, a little caramel, and a smidge of grass. Very nice.
The taste is centered around the rye bread, which adds a nice amount of spice as the beer warms, and there’s also some caramel and grassy notes for a very smooth and flavorful beer.
The mouthfeel is medium and crisp, on point for the style. I could drink gallons of this exceptionally well done beer by a brewery that has mastered their lager game, IMHO.

"Best by 4/4/23"; drank 12/4/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through brown/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big khaki head; strong tree-rung lace.
Fresh rye bread & cream notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Rye bread & dill pickle flavors.
The taste was a bit "off" to me.

It surprises me that I've had 25 in this style, given that I drink so few lagers in a typical month. But Arc Welder is now my highest rated (per BA average) in the style and I can grasp why.
Arc Welder Looks active, a nice foam hands around on top of a garnet body. Smells are appropriate, mostly malt. Tastes are sweet malts balanced by a few hops, but then the rye asserts itself in mid-palate and finishes in a distinguished, lasting permanence. Bubbles and medium-mouthed.
I am a fan of Metropolitan, despite being not a fan of lagers (their laser focus). But almost every one of the seven brews I've had from them I have enjoyed. And they now have a cool taproom by the River where I ride my bike. So what is stopping me from a visit?

Paired with Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye, you know because of the Rye. Nice beer, a little spice, nice change of pace from the popular styles of now, definitely try one if you can, cheers

Dark copper brown murky body with huge beige head that dies down over time, spotted lacing. Banana, rye, grains, light caramel malts and a dusting of cocoa. Taste has a cola influence to the caramel malt, rye, banana, german yeast and light nuttiness all combine in a passive way. It works and is very drinkable, want a little more definition in the feel especially, but rye helps hold together well enough.

Pours deep copper-red with tan head. Taste is all grain and malt with a bit of crispiness in the finish. Medium body, medium-light carbonation. This one is exceptional and just keeps growing on me.

Tasted in a Spiegelau lager glass from a 12 fl oz glass on October 27, 2020. Yet another well made beer from Metropolitan. We are so lucky to have them and Dovetail in the same city. Long live lagers.

Taste: robust, rye bread, slight sweet, smokey, earthy, nutty, with a clean finish. Same with the nose. dark Mahogany hue, mostly clear, tall tan foamy head, some lace. Medium to medium light body. Complex, smooth.

Pours a deep, deep ruby, with a large amount of light tan foam. Head dissipates quickly, leaving minimal lacing. Toasty rye
notes very prominent in aroma, along with an alcohol presence in the background. Also picking up some hazelnut aromas. Taste is really good, continuing with the rye and hazelnut theme. Mouth feel very smooth with a very nice level of carbonation. High marks for another great brew from Metropolitan.

12oz bottle poured into a mug shows a clear reddish-orange, brown body with active bubbles rising to a 3"tall shaft of fluffy tan head and leaving copious, erratic, spotted lacing.
Roasty malt aroma mixed with fresh air combine with herbal flavors and a slight hint of smoke to induce constant consumption.
Mouthfeel leans lighter from a medium and finishes clean.
Overall an easy drinker to pair with pizza, burgers, sausages, bbq, and salmon.
