Dark copper body with a thick, creamy, white head. Grain and cereal aroma; bready. Taste follows the aroma with the addition of a mild hop bitterness; bread crust. Medium bodied; dry finish.
For a DIPA, the lack of a bold hop aroma is rather inexplicable. The hop bitterness doesn't really rise up to any great deal either. It's there, it's noticeable, but hardly "double" big. On the bright side, this is a very malty ale. The flavors favor warm baked bread and honey. An interesting beer, tasty overall, just not quite what one would expect for a DIPA.

Poured from a 16oz can into a pint glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.
A- Finger and a half fluffy off-white head with long retention. Amber colored IPA with very high clarity. Looks alright.
S- Maltier than I had expected. Candi sugars? Another surprise. Aroma is less like an IPA and more like a Belgian strong ale in my opinion. Not bad, but unexpected.
T- Tastes alcoholic and with caramel malts it seems like... not an IPA. Marshmallow, butter, caramel and some earthy north west hops. Odd balance of flavors.
M- Watery, very watery.
O- Relatively disappointing beer. Not what I expected.
