Another quality brew available at Liberty Street Brewing Company. I recently bought a growler of it after drinking it at the bar.

Everything about this beer is Pumpking Pie and spice. the smell is sugary sweet, bringing pumpkin pie immediately to mind. A hint of roasted malt is also detectable in the background.

Pours with a good 2 finger head, tan in color. the beer itself is dark amber brown with decent clarity. You would expect to see a chunk of pumpkin pie floating around inside but alas, there is none.

The flavor is great. Cinnamon and sweet malts hit your right away. Very smooth and low carbonation. Most enjoyable cool but not necessarily cold.

This is not a session beer, as the sweetness and pumpkin flavor may overpower you eventually, but it is a great sipper. Awesome when paired with holiday meats like ham and turkey.

Very good beer for a seasonal treat and delivers on its name in spades. (916 characters)

This beer is a favorite among the regulars of Liberty Street (Myself Included). Great flavor that is unmistakably pumpkin pie. Nice amber color, with little but sufficient head. Depending on how far along the batch is, you may get some sediment in the beer, but never enough to discourage drinking it. Overall, the perfect fall/winter beer, and a shame it's not available year round. (383 characters)

$5.25 pint at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

Appearance: Slightly hazy pumpkin color with almost no head. Lacing is minimal. Looks like I expected it to.

Smell: Best part, no doubt. It really smells like pumpkin pie with a perfect amount of spice (I.E., it doesn't burn your nose hairs). Nice sweetness, slight pumpkin, spicy... pretty much on point.

Taste/feel: Eh... a pint was more than enough for me. The taste at first is actually very nice, and better than I was expecting. Punkin Pie tastes just like the aroma, but it just doesn't have that "Mm, I really want another sip." sort of thing going for it that I had with Screamin' Pumpkin. I also got sick of the watery feel near the end of the glass. It's a respectable pumpkin beer, and actually one of the better ones I've had, but it probably won't blow your mind. (836 characters)

on tap at the brewpub a few weeks ago, served in a nonic.

a - hazy copper in color with a thin cap of off white head.

s - waxy and spicy (nutmeg). oddly perfumey, like a pumpkin scented candle.

t - nutmeg dominates the flavor in a bad way. does have notes of pumpkin and an oily hop bitterness, but no real malt character. gets a little more tolerable as it warms.

m - thin with a slick, oily feel and not quite enough carbonation.

o - not awful but definitely wishing i had ordered something else. i sincerely hope they tweak this recipe for next year. not recommended. (576 characters)

I had this on tap at Ashley's of Westland

A: half to one finger of head, light almost golden straw color, light carbonation.

S: This beer had a big clove/ginger spice scent, slight tart smell, I did'nt pick up any pumpkin at all

T: The tase was kind of tart, with a manufactured spice taste, ginger/cloves flavor. It did not have the pumpkin pie taste that I was expecting.

M: Light carbonation, thin, watery feel.

O: I don't know if I had a bad batch or what, but I was dissapointed with this one. I will have to go to the brewery to make sure the next one is fresh. This would be an excellent beer for the mainstream mass produced American Pilsner/lager drinker to transition into craft beer with. (704 characters)
