Nice building. Classic old "style" inside with a nice bar. Hardwood abound. On my visit, many of the regular beers were out. The steam beer, however, was quite nice. The stout was initially out, until I asked about it. Lucky for me it was just getting put back on tap.
The service was very good, I also had the opportunity to speak with the brewer for awhile. He was both passionate and knowledgeable.
I was there just after work 5:15-5:45 and not many people came in while I was there. So I experienced a quite atmosphere, which was perfect for me.
I will return to check out more of their beers when they become available.

I knew Joe, the beer guide, when he lived in my neighborhood. The beers he made when he was just getting started we're amazing, sure do miss those days, especially in the summer. However, the beer he makes now just ROCKS!!! Just wish I lived within walking distance!

Just stumbled upon Liberty last night. This is a very cozy bar right in small town Plymouth. It has the look of an old store on the inside. This is more of an intimate place compared to most other bars. Great place to stop at to chat. The best beer available in my opinion is the Red Glare Amber Ale. I wish I would of have more but I wanted to try as much as possible. A neat feature here is the 'sampler'. You get your choice of 4 beers all in half pints. The only food available is appetizer type stuff so I recommend eating before you get here. Fortunately for me I wasn't buying so I cannot comment on the prices.

Closest brewery to me. Liberty street always has some pretty good beer on draft. Very clean inside and the staff does a nice job. The upstairs area is nice if you have a big group.. sometimes its closed for parties though!

The atmosphere in here is great for relaxing/unwinding... every time ive come in so far its been quieter and not slammed busy. Definitely a plus!

Starkweather stout and the Pumkin seasonal are great. Always look forward to their new beers and variety/selection of brew.

The food is alright.. not a good place to get dinner though as really the best thing on the food menu is the pretzels.

Great place to relax and have a couple pints no matter what night it is..

I've been meaning to come here for almost a year now, but finally got in last week to get a growler (ultimately got a pair of snarlers instead). The first thing I noticed is that it's pretty nice inside -- a lot of wood, and appears to be clean. Immediately after, I noticed a pretty bad smell... it's like sawdust and fresh cut wood mixed with incredibly stale beer and a touch of vomit. Not pleasant, and a bizarre as hell smell. Regardless of that stench, it's a pretty nifty little place (by little... I mean little).

The quality of the beers as Liberty Street is... not that high. I'm hugely surprised at the 94 rating for this place. I have to assume it's due to people from Plymouth just being overwhelmed with joy that they have a brewery in their backyard... or they were insanely drunk when they had the beer. I've had four beers from LSBC, and the beers have been "okay" at best and "blech" at worst... pretty huge variation. For instance, I thought Steamy Windows was awful. Clementine Lemon Thyme is decent. Red Glare is solid. C-Monster is just... weird. The selection is pretty good though. I didn't count an exact number, but there were at least 12 beers on-tap (likely more), and a pretty decent variety.

This place is just... eh. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's a nice little brewery to support and visit if you live in Plymouth. I wouldn't be opposed to coming here again, but I could do without it.

Liberty Street Brewing Company is a small brewery in old village Plymouth, MI. I never really knew it existed until I drove by it one day.

They offered a very inexpensive menu for happy hour which included a 5 dollar taster flight. Really enjoyed their Portier and American IPA. There wasn't a lot of people in their so I expected to receive good service and I got it. Would go in again for sure.

My bf and I decided to stop here yesterday since we were in the area. It was a great find- the atmosphere was pub-like and fairly dark (a plus for me) with each table having their own lamp if they wanted more light. Another couple was playing a game of Battleship at the next table, so it reminded me of a coffee house a little bit. The service was prompt and efficient. The selection was pretty good, too, as they had many styles of their beer available and even hard cider and wine. I also liked that you can choose a half pint, pint or 20 oz glass of each, and samplers are an option too. I looked liked they had a bit of bar food but I didn't have any, and the refillable popcorn for a buck is a nice touch.

We'll be stopping by this place every time we visit the bf's parents and are in the area now.

I visited Liberty Street Brewing on my way to a concert last night and I can't say enough good things about this place. It's beautifully decorated with a gorgeous bar, dim but not dark lighting, hardwood floors and solid colors on the wall. It's exactly how I would decorate my pub - or house for that matter - if I had one. There's nothing fake, nothing gimmicky, just a really nice, casual, relaxing atmosphere. There's even an upstairs that I didn't have time to check out.

And the beer is second to almost none. Only the rock stars of brewpubs like Three Floyds or Founders can boast a better lineup. Every single beer I tried was fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced and true to style while maintaining a slight individuality. Even the light blonde ale was delicious. When I dropped in they featured nine beers ranging from light lager to honey porter and stout. Pretty much everything is over 6%, with the Honey Porter topping the charts at 7.9%. My favorites were the IPA (citrus, huge nose, slight sweetness) and the stout (strong for style at 6.3%, chocolate, easy drinking).

They have a small menu featuring food that doesn't require utensils. Chips with dips, pizza and chicken chili with a bread bowl, for example. I had the chili, which was quite tasty though the bread bowl tasted a tad stale. It was like navy bean soup but a tad thicker with chunks of chicken. But if nothing fits your fancy, feel free to order in from one of the several menus they keep on hand of local establishments that will deliver to the pub.

The bartender was knowledgeable and pretty decent. She was a bit slow at times to pick up my check or see how I was doing, but she was the only one on staff and I was reading a magazine; obviously in no hurry to be getting out of the place.

Overall, I'm very excited about this place. I'll stop in every time I'm anywhere near Plymouth. I might even get my mini-kegs filled here soon. Love it.
