I expected little and this place met my expectations. The actual location of the Ale House I visited last week is next to the airport rather than this one, but I don't suspect they're at all different. About the best I can say for this typical Florida bar is it had a sizeable outdoor bar, which for a guy who's listening to the sleet tap against his window as he writes, was most enjoyable given that it was last week and it was 84 and sunny there. That and the hot barmaid. End of story. Predominantly macro crap from the big three and a bunch of locals with red necks and bad haircuts who loved to smoke. Suffice it to say most of them got the "bucket" which was a plastic bucket of Miller Lite on ice. Each and every one of 'em looked as content as could be and more than willing to talk 'Gator football or fishing or hunting or whatever but not about quality beer. Again, the facility itself is modern and comfortable, but the only reason why we stopped there was because of its proximity to the airport. Not worth the visit if you're a beer enthusiast but about the best you can hope for in Orlando with the exception of Underground Bluz.

Come on peeps. How in the hell is this an 82? Let's see: about 35 taps, 95% BMC. Had to settle for a Sam A... not that I don't enjoy Sammy A, but come on. I can find Sam anywhere. At a place called "Ale House", I'd expect more. Per the tender, they don't even rotate save for a Sam A seasonal. Oh, and a Blue Moon seasonal.

Passed this place on my way to my hotel, and after learning my hotel bar already closed, I came back for a brew. I regret that choice. Pathetic beer joint.

Now, if you dig typical sports bars enjoy TGIF, and don't care about beer, come here. Actually, TGIF has better beer selections, if that tells you anything.

I lived down the road from this particular Orlando Ale House which is near Disney in the Lake Buena Vista section of Orlando. This particular Orlando Ale House seems to cater to a large tourist as well as Disney "cast member" crowd. You'll usually find a large crowd here on any given night. It is a good place to watch a game as there a large number of televisions which they have recently upgraded to watch games on. There are pool tables and dart boards as well so it's a good place to go to meet up with friends for cheap food and beer, to play a game of pool, or to watch a game.

That being said, the Orlando Ale House is not a place to go to if you expect to get a good micro-brew. The beers they serve here are inexpensive for a reason. They usually offer 2 dollar coronas on Tuesday nights or a bucket of 5 bottles of natty ice for $5. Occasionally, there will be some halfway decent beers on tap here, but that is the exception to the rule. The food here is decent and is very inexpensive. They serve nachos that could easily serve 8-10 people for around 8 dollars.

I frequented this place because it was a good place to meet up with friends to have a good time without spending a lot of money, but you have to be forewarned about what to expect from this place-decent cheap pub food and not so good cheap beer.

This place would be better with more microbrews available but the selection they have isn't terrible. This is part of the Ale House chains in the Florida area. There always seems to be a strange odor to it though. Almost like someone got sick and they didn't clean it up.

The service was good once I got a bartenders attention. It's always crowded but that's what happens when you're in a big tourist area like Disney.

The food was okay without being great.

This isn't a bad place to go when you're on vacation.

This was pretty much like any other noisy sports bar. I went on a Friday night and there were a lot of people. They have a billiards table and a few dart boards so you can entertain yourself or friends. Muted TVs were everywhere so you can catch a game but obviously not hear it. The taps were the usual macros with the special just being the latest Sam Adams or Bud seasonals. Food was alright but greasy and cliche for a sports bar. The wings were sub par and not as hot as I preferred. Nothing special here.

This is a nice sports bar, but a mediocre beer bar. Their beer selection consists primarily of imports you can get anywhere like Guinness and boring regionals like Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams. The simple fact that they served their beer in frosted glasses lets you know they are not serious about beer in any way.

Orlando is absolutely devoid of quality beer bars. The fact that this qualifies as one of the better ones is a sad statement. Better choices in the immediate area are Underground Bluz II and Cricketeers Arms--although they have some shortcomings as well.

The Orlando Ale House has lot of decent beers on tap (Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Paulaner Hefe, Stella, Urquell, Guinness) stand out just to name a few off of the top of my head. Decent selection, a bit pricey but good service and decent food. You must try the chicken nachos if you go here. It is a HUGE plate full of tortilla chips covered in cheese, chicken and peppers. Overall, the Ale House is a decent place to go for a brew mainly because of it's proximity to me. Not a bad place to go for good dinner and a pint of brew.

Just got back from a four day trip to Orlando and we hit this place a couple of times. It was very easy to get to as it was right across the street from our hotel. Looked promising from the outside as well as the name. The inside was okay, nothing to brag about. Sports bar all the way. A couple of games and pool towards the back right. Huge horse shoe bar in the middle. The taps were a disappointment. Tons of macro, SNPA, a couple Sam, Guinness, and the like. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was good for bar food, but don't expect the best. The crowd was actually cool. Met a roadie for Neil Young there.
